This knife set is of good quality if cared for properly. There are a couple of maintenance protocols that need to be minded in order to maintain.The first is that the plastic sides of the knife block build up static electricity and allow for particles to gather. This isn’t horrible and a quick wipe down with a non abrasive cloth will solve this issue as to not scratch the plastic sides of the butcher block.The second issue is with the finish of the blade itself. Nothing to do with quality of finish on the blades. The issue is that anything will stand out on the finish of the blade after washing. For example, we use a water softener at our home and unless you dry the blade off immediately after washing, there will be visible white spots on it. We follow a strict regiment of wiping down the knives and drying them thoroughly before putting them back in the butchers block.These knives hold their edge well and are easy to maintain as long as one is careful with the finished edge of the blade.

Well ive wanted these knives for the past 5 yrs when Oprah recommended them on GMA, finally got them , they are beautiful. But it cracked in the back . And according to the reviews they are poorly made such a shame ,they are on my counter but i will never use them Only for show.

I've had my eye on this set for 8 months and finally bought it, and am so happy I did! The set I received came packaged insanely well, like the only way it could have been damaged is if it was dropped off the top of the conveyor belt at the sorting facility during transit, and even then it may have survived.I love the color of the blades. I love the display. So far they cut and clean up beautifully, we will see how they last over time. The set came with a 25 year warranty in the manufacuring packaging though, I'm definitely registering them and keeping the proof of purchase. If they fail to live up to normal wear and tear they will replace them, that says that they should be quality to me and last.I'm wondering if some of the bad reviews got knock offs or a bad batch because I most definitely do not feel the same as any of those reviewers.

Love love love this knife set!! I was looking for knives to match my copper/rose gold kitchen flatware and accessories and these are just perfect! I get TONS of compliments on them because they are so unique! I was a little worried about how the brown handles would look since my cabinets are black but the are perfectly offset by the black case. I love these! Mostly for how they look on my counter but they also work great too. I haven't had any issues with rusting (I think people need to realize that drying anything metal is a must! Of course if you leave something wet for long enough, rust will happen!) I accidentally put a couple of them through the dishwasher and had no issues. Love!

The quality of these knives is terrrible. After having them for 3 months, one knife broke. Then after a few months I’ve had 3 break. They all broke from the handle. They pretty, but not good quality.
