I began this project and decided I would use bigger screws to attach the brackets to the wall as the ones that come with it are extremely small.....I found out quickly unless they are flat headed screws no other's will fit or allow the channel to sit correctly. I ended up using the ones that came with it. Applying the channel holders to a textured wall is also not easy and the brackets are not easy to attach. I eventually got it all attached and put together. The outcome was better than I expected and I was pleased with how the LEDS look once in the diffuser. 2/5 install and 5/5 final product. I also didn't read the instructions prior to attempting this project (probably should've) but later found out that it is best to install the channel holders in the seam between channels so that both channels can be attached to the single holder due to the amount of holders that are sent with in the package. Overall, I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a professional install and doesn't want LEDS just stuck to the wall. I presume the U channel kit is easier to install than the V channel due to the different type of channel holder and would consider it before the V channel depending on what type of application.

As i was trying to slide the lens into the channel i noticed it doesnt work that way, you have to snap the lens into the frame rather than slide it in as it constantly comes out of the channels. What makes it difficult is that some aluminum frames are not straight, they bend, i guess due to manufacturing issues, which keeps that area's lens connection loose. really bad quality product overall. Shop elsewhere.

This item is narrow and Phillips Hue strips don’t fit.

Acrylic panels are not frosted, they are completely clear. Per their description, "The newly-upgraded UV-protector Frosted Lens Diffuser Covers are more resistant to UV exposure than the regular ones, effectively preventing from turning yellow after prolonged use." Will definitely not be purchasing this again in the future.Update 2/28/2021I see they updated the description and title to be less misleading. Wish they had been so careful when I made the initial purchase.

These tracks look very nice due to the dark color.I used a thick double sided tape to adhere them to Detolf display shelves for lighting.The drawbacks are:—You can’t buy additional end caps. I reached out to the company and they do not sell them.—I wish these came with the frosted coverings as the clear coverings do nothing for shielding the LED. It’s fine in my Detolf since they are angled and face away, but there is a glare from the LED on the glass because the clear covers do nothing.
