A Great Cane Chair
Very handy. This was a helpful and convenient product. I purchased for my mom to use while visiting Disney which is what is allowed. She stated it was lightweight so easy to carry around and the chair was comfortable for her. I can attest as I tried it myseld. I definitely recommend. It came already assembled and you just have to make sure the legs are even and clicked in place. I read many reviews before purchasing and we are very satisfied. One review mentioned you cannot return either because it is a medical device. I don't plan to return but for me it does say free returns. This made our trip to Disney a better experience.

AWESOME THEME PARK CHAIR; TERRIBLE CANE
NOTE THAT THIS IS A MEDICAL DEVICE SO AMAZON CANNOT ACCEPT RETURNS UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. So don't order one just to try it out; you've got to be committed to this thing. Perfect for theme parks. It is so nice to sit in lines instead of stand. Dland won't let you bring in a folding chair, but they will let you bring a cane chair as long as you assure the NPCs in security that you'll use it as a cane and not a chair. Security will make you stand if they catch you sitting on one out in the open (e.g., parades) but none of the other employees will because they have souls. No matter how many times they catch you sitting on one they cannot make you throw it away, all they can ask you to do is stop sitting. Then you can resume once the robots turn around. In 8 separate occasions of using this at Disneyland I only had one security a-hole ask me to not sit on it, and I was out in the open so it was easy for him to spot me. I don't think this thing will ever break. It doesn't fold up as small as other folding chairs out there, but it makes up for it in sturdiness. The fabric ones tend to rip if you get a crappy brand. The cane tends to come apart as you're walking so it's terribly inconvenient using as a cane. It's the worst cane I've ever used. If you're buying this for the cane, my recommendation would be to try your luck at Walmart or a store that sells wheelchairs/canes where you can try one out, then return them easily if they don't work out. I would also like to note that I got 1 day shipping for this. I had a folding tripod camping chair that folds up SUPER small, and I got caught with it at Disneyland and they literally made me take it back to the Disneyland hotel, so I was able to get this chair at about noon the next day, I just shipped it directly to the hotel front desk and the Amazon app told me when it was delivered. This was a life-saver because for the life of me, I could not find a brick-and-mortar store that sold these in Anaheim.

This is the minimal quality you'd should consider.
It's decent. Not built like a tank - but definitely won't break and collapse like the cheaper folding "material seat" type tripod I tried before this. That one lasted 10 minutes and broke while I was in it. This takes up more space but is actually usable. Do not even bother with the other style I pictured. They are $15 on T E M u and there's a reason why. My back hurt for week after I fell off that thing.

Just perfect, very stable and easy to adjust height.
I got this because I have a problem with standing for even a short amount of time. I really looked at a lot of different adjustable height cane seats before deciding to get this one. The only problem I had was figuring how to adjust it, which should have been a no brainer. I finally just pulled the legs down till the adjustment pen popped out, then lined it up with the hole i needed. It is very stable to set on and use. The seat doesn’t brush against my leg when I use it as a cane. It is very easy to raise and lower the seat. It is also lightweight. I could not be happier. I am 83 years old, a woman, 5’9” tall and weigh 125#. The seat is comfortable and just the right size. Update. I used my cane today when I went to pre vote. There was a long line in front of me. I used it a few times in line, when I got inside to vote I was able to set down to register and when I went in to vote, I stood up at first, but had to set down to finish it. It really made a difference.

Requires some strength & coordination
I bought this for a 95-year-old man, for use on hard surfaces such as roads, sidewalks and store floors. He tried it out first in the yard. The feet promptly went into the dirt and he nearly fell. This predisposed him to dislike it, so we ended up in an extended discussion of its use. He tried it in the house and had the same problem others had. He didn't know he had to straddle it, and the instructions were not clear. Once he got onto it correctly, he discovered he was too weak and shakey to get up from it easily. The cane will not go to waste. The purpose is to get him walking and strengthen his legs, but now we know we have to start with the Costco folding seated walker to build up his strength. We have others who can use it also, if they choose, but they are a bit put off by his struggles. Conclusion: This cane requires a certain amount of physical conditioning, and/or assistance from others. Folded, it does its purpose. It is light weight. Open, it provides a seat for those who wear slacks, but I doubt anyone in a skirt would use it. While somewhat awkward, it is sufficiently well balanced to hold someone. The main limitation is the user's physical ability and awareness of potential problems. It would help if the description included this information. As a spectator or shopping stool, it would be very useful.

Game-changer!
This for me is a game-changer, as I now can stand in line and not worry about my legs giving out! As long as you are agile enough and willing to sit in a straddling fashion, this will work beautifully for you. It works ok as a cane, but the cane-part is mostly helpful in reminding me to slow down, plus it does give some stability when I’m a bit off-balance.

My mother has loved this cane/chair. She uses it everywhere she goes and even at home in the kitchen when she is cooking. It has made it possible for her to continue her walks and to go out with the family on outings.

This was most handy during the December lines at the post office and bank! It also came in handy when I needed to sit down and discuss repairs needed at the Corona-barricaded computer repair shop. They had no chairs for customers in their tiny, hole-in-the-wall shop, they put plexiglass across the door instead. Much better than the cheaper version which is flimsier & has no height adjustments. (Adjustment tubes may come off in transit, easily replaced, just press silver height adjustment buttons shown in last photo). Ships in a flat box as shown. You must lock the seat in place when folding it up after using the chair, to use it for walking. The only thing I'd change is to make it sturdy enough for heavier people. I've shown this to 2 handicapped folks who are either on or over the weight limit.
