Haxan (The Haxan Series) Paperback – July 3, 2014

There's really not that much fantasy here - at its core I suppose this great read is a noir mystery with a marshal in place of a PI set in the 19th century border frontier instead of 20th century urban streets. But even this description short-changes this well-paced and strongly plotted gem.Doesn't really matter how you catagorize a story when the writing's this solid.
