This is a wonder of a product; it's gentle and does its work. No complaints. There is no taste.

Several years ago, we had a family member who was terminally ill, and in terrible pain. The docs knew that this person's time was short, and had prescribed very strong narcotics to ease the pain. unfortunately, strong narcotics also cause terrible, painful almost intractable constipation in no time, and ordinary over the counter medication cannot help. We tried everything available, from prescription laxatives to folk remedies, and the few things that helped had such strong side effects that the cure was worse than the condition. Then, our pediatrician (knowing about everyone in the family) asked if we had heard of Miralax. Of course we hadn't, and he suggested that we call for a prescription, which we did. When we got the stuff, we were surprised because it looked like powdered nothing, and when mixed with a drink or soft food, it had no taste at all. But it worked! It's not like you can dance and cheer in the street over a laxative, but we sure felt like it. And it continued to work, without bad side effects, or bloating, pain, gas or any of the stuff that you expect from a laxative. Our relative had one less problem during the final months of life, and we were grateful. A few years later, a child in the family was taking a medication that had some not very comfortable side effects. When the same pediatrician recommended Miralax, we were wary: it seemed awfully strong for a kid. But he said that the adult dose was okay for an older (young teen) child. Once again, it worked without any bad side effects. Now that Miralax is over the counter, we keep a bottle in the house just in case anyone has a problem. (we call a doc for an okay when a kid is involved) It's safe, effective and has no bad side effects. What more could you want in any medication?
