Worked on squeaky door pin… so far
I have a couple doors that were squeaking. One of them I had already used the Dupont dry lube, I had to remove the pen, cleaned it, and looked at it. It went away, but unfortunately, after a couple weeks, it came back.I was recommended this product and put it on yesterday and it seems to have gotten rid of the squeak. We’ll see if it comes back. If it does, I will update this review. It’s interesting. It doesn’t come up the good spray. It’s more like a thick consistency. I think I like that. I will also try this on the garage spring, which I tried the Dupont dry loop on as well, but it didn’t quite get rid of the noise completely.

Foamy Silicone Grease. Just wonderful
I wanted to save a few dollars so I got the WD-40's version. What a mistake. Very liquidy grease! This one is a THICK foamy grease. $6 more but 10X better....

Great stuff
After researching articles about what is best to use on garage door springs, I ordered this stuff. Apparently, white lithium is the preferred lubricant for garage doors. I spent a whole day cleaning off the gooey mess of the previous products. I applied the white lithium and I didn’t think it looked like it would do the job but a little goes a long way and my doors glide up and down. One of my old truck doors didn’t want to latch so I put some of this lithium in the latch and it worked beautifully. All this to say, I won’t be without this in the future.

Better use it all at once, or find new straws.
This product mostly worked ok the first time.It does splatter quite a bit, so by the time I was done greasing my garage door track me and everything in the vicinity was coated in a very light mist of solvent and grease, which sucked...After the garage door went up and down a few times it needed to be sprayed again (which was expected), and despite running solvent through the straw (similar petro-distilate) the grease just refused to come out of the can. It felt like the can had lost most of it's pressure, even though there still felt like there was a decent amount of grease left.So the second application ended up with me even more coated in grease than the first time, which defeats the point of using the "convenient spray" in the first place.I might as well have gotten a grease gun and a tube of lithium grease and gone about it the old fashioned way.Even applying it with a paint brush would probably have been less messy...
