These are the best pens I have ever bouthgt for making quilt labels! They write so smoothly..no ink skipping; no pulling at the fabric. I have not tried washing them. So, I don't know about them being colofast.

This is the absolute best permanent fabric pen I have found. What I love is that there is no drag when writing on fabric that isn't backed. It is like writing on paper with a regular pen. Your letters with upstrokes are a breeze to make and turn out beautifully. This would be the best pen if you are doing a signature quilt, or just for your normal quilt labeling. I did pen trials to test different ones and after 10 washings this pen held up so well. I saw no real difference between the 5 washings sample and the 10 washings. After that first wash it pretty much got as light as it was going to. I gave it the harshest conditions. I did not heat set the ink with my iron and I did not put my samples into the dryer after any of the washings.

Ordered to test for a quilt on which I write info that remains. Washed and dried; ink remained with almost no change to integrity. Then re-washed with an enzyme detergent; still clear and dark. Good option! Easy to write with (I pulled fabric taut in an embroidery hoop).

These pens are great! I ordered a set & liked them so much I ordered another set.

Use them on my quilts

Got these to write my toddler’s name on his favorite stuffed animal. It has gone through the wash several times and it still hasn’t fades. It dries very quickly on the tag material, which surprised me. The color is also more vibrant that I expected. The pen wrote smoothly and was easy to use.

My grandmother spends all year quilting and gifts dozens of quilts each Christmas and she has always signed them for us with the year but the regular pen always washes away and sharpie bleeds or pulls and looks messy. I started getting her these pens (she loves how smooth they write) and not a single quilt has faded writing! And I wash them VERY often with 3 young kids, a dog and a husband! 10/10 I love these pens!! Ordering more for this year's quilts! Also fantastic for labeling baby or kid clothes for daycare, school or sports!!
