Advice for sizing concerns!
I wanted to write this review for people who may still have doubts, sizing issues, and in general just issues as to what is best for them. I was concerned when I bought this shoe because of sizing, as some said to size down, while others stayed their size or even went up a size. I have quite smaller and skinnier feet. I am a women's size 6(US) and I decided for these that i would buy my size. When I got the shoes I noticed that they were my size length wise but in the toe area I get space up and down so I can comfortably move them around. Concerning the fitting of the boot, they weren't tight but still stayed well fit on my foot. At first I thought that maybe its because they were too big for me by about half a size, but I've realized that I actually quite like the feel of the boots not being tight fitting, as it allows you to comfortably wear the shoe from the start without having issues breaking them in. It also allows you to be able to wear thicker socks without the shoe becoming too tight on your foot. So my advice for sizing is to go down ½ or 1 a size then what you normally wear if you have skinnier feet and you want boots that are more tight and fitted. But if you enjoy shoes that you could wear thicker socks with or have more room in for comfort, stick to your size. Also if you have wider feet it is probably best to stick with your size or maybe go down by ½ as the shoes could mold to your feet if they are tight. Regarding the shoe itself, these shoes are great! I did notice though that the shoes seems bigger and chunkier in person than I initially thought they would, but the more I have worn and looked at them, the more obsessed I have become with how they look. I've also gotten more used to them, so they don't look at big as when I first saw them. I definitely recommend these boots to anyone who wishes to buy them, as I am a first time buyer from doc martens, I can confirm they are very nicely made boots with good comfort and looks!

Awesome boot!
I am an 8 in man that's what I ordered. Unfortunately, my toes were rubbing in the front. I have to go a size up. But the boot is comfortable and not heavy. They are amazing! If you interested buy them but remember guys go a size up. Great boot!!!

I think I have my new favorite boots!
There are a few things to note with the Jadon: 1) Sizing: When I first got these and tried them on, I was devastated because they felt HUGE on my feet. I had been looking forward to buying them for quite a while, and since I ordered the same Docs size I always do, I expected them to fit the same way. I wear a 10-10.5 wide shoe, yet in the 8UK/42/10USW Jadons, my foot was swimming in the toe box. I even put a ProFoot insert in them to no avail. Then I looked inside my favorite pair of Docs and lo and behold, unlike the ProFoot insert which is only the back half of the foot, my favorite Docs had a FULL length arch support insert. I swapped it into the Jadons, and voila, they fit beautifully! With the zipper, these are so easy to put on and take off quickly -- a wonderful feature! 2) Comparison (all with a full-length insole) Jadon -- These are feel like a standard pair of Docs, only with a sweet "make me taller!" sole. They are SUPER comfortable! I wore them yesterday and walked around a convention for several hours, then for the remainder of the evening. Clemency -- These are again like a standard pair of Docs, with about the same lift as the Jadons at the heel, however the front of the boot has a standard thickness Docs sole. These have been my favorites for "daily" use -- at least until the Jadons, which may quickly surpass these. Darcie -- Crank the Clemency up another inch at the heel and you have the Darcie model. I have a beautiful teal, floral-embossed pair of these and they always elicit compliments whenever I wear them. Unfortunately I can't wear them for more than a few hours at a time because it's too much pressure on the bridge of my foot, under the laces. Now that the Clemency and Jadon have come along, I may retire these for special occasions only. Winner: I think the Jadons will be my boot-of-choice very soon! Pro tip: Wear nylons! Docs are notoriously painful to break in, and I was worried the Jadons would cause the same issues. These didn't cause me any pain at all and already feel like they're molded to my feet. I'm sure a good part of it is that I had a friend tell me to wear nylon knee-highs under my socks -- and it worked! He's a roller derby coach, so I'm not sure why I was skeptical in the first place. My happy feet appreciate the advice!

The best. No... Seriously.
Let me preface this by saying how mad I am at myself for waiting this long to write a review for these boots. They're absolutely fantastic. I bought my first pair from this company back in 2015 and have worn them practically everyday since. I loved them so much that I bought the burgundy pair as well. As with all Dr Marten boots, there's a steep "break in" curve of comfort. And honestly, I really didn't notice how well they ended up form-fitting to my feet until I had to start breaking the burgundy pair in. The pain and inevitable calluses are worth it! Sizing is pretty standard of all docs - I'm normally anywhere from a size US 7 1/2 - 8 1/2, bought the UK 6, and have room to spare for thick fuzzy socks in the winter. I have plenty of other styles of Dr. Martens - but the platforms are the reason I got these in particular. (every millimeter counts when you're only 5'2) I've read a few comments and questions about the weight of the boots - they ARE heavier than "normal", as I've had plenty of people remark after trying them on - but give it a few days and you won't even notice the weight. If anything, "normal" shoes will feel too light after wearing these full time. Now for my sad sob story (aka the reason I'm writing this review) - just this past weekend the zipper broke on my black pair. Which really is a testament to how well these boots are made. I know that sounds strange but I got some HEAVY use out of these bad boys. I'm talking hiking, climbing up a mountain (yes, a mountain. In these platform docs. I don't recommend doing this. Buy hiking boots, please learn from my mistakes), commuting several miles on a bike everyday. The zipper lasted two years of me violently beating them up. The rest of the boot is in perfectly good working order so I plan on getting the zipper fixed to save as a backup pair. I decided to buy a new pair because cosmetically - well, they've been through a lot. I've had chemicals spilled on them in class (you're told to not wear open toed shoes in chem lab for a reason), and they're scuffed to hell and back... but honestly don't docs look best when they're a little grungy? The only complaint I have is that the tongue of the left boot is maligned - it twists to the left slightly. This happened with both of my original pairs (I included a pic), but not the newest one that I just bought. But it really isn't that big of a deal, it's only cosmetic. I also wish they offered them in something other than the smooth leather finish, but that's something to take up arms against Dr. Martens for, not the Amazon review board. I totally recommend getting them if you're on the fence! They are worth the investment. Even if you decide to hike up mountains in them (please don't).

CUTEEEE
I loveeeee my Jadon’s! They are uncomfortable to break in but beauty is pain. I used two pairs of socks and like feminine pads on the ouchy parts when breaking in. They are legit though and so cute! My fav shoes I’ve ever owned!

sizing is so tricky
so these boots are sick. no doubt about it. but if you are a half size, getting the size right is hard. especially since no matter what size you get, breaking in is gonna hurt. I’m a fairly solid 7.5, very occasionally an 8. I have an old pair of docs that were made in england and they are a size five which should be the same as a men’s 6, women’s 7, and they fit. so these i expected to fit in women’s 7, especially since all the reviews say size down they run large. However i feel like for these platforms that is not the case. they are narrower than other styles first of all and that makes a difference. I do think possibly a 7 would have worked for me if they were wider. but yeah my toes on both feet touch the end. Now if it’s a gentle graze i’m willing to work at it and bet they stretch. but not it’s a hard push at the end. So i’m waiting on the next size up, men’s 7, women’s 8. let me say again, i’m a true 7.5 in most shoes, sometimes 8. Edit: the women’s 8 came today and they were HUGE. i’ll leave this as a four star review bc for people in true whole sizes this boot is amazing. but i unfortunately can’t find a size that works for me. 😭 2nd EDIT: i tried on the women’s 7/ men’s 6 in the pisa leather version of these and they def feel a tiny bit roomier. it’s just a smidge but i think it’s enough that these ones will work for me.

These made my feet bleed
I used obenhaufs leather wax to help break these in. I love the look of these, but they aren't an all day attire item. There could be much better cushioning inside. My feet hate me after a few hours. I empathize with women wearing high heels. These just look so good though I'm still giving a 5star review.
