Why have I been faffing about with kitchen scissors for so long?!
Plain, simple and perfect for the job. The black colour is great because you can’t see any of the sooty residue after you’ve used it.

Reaches down in a jar where scissors can’t cut at the proper angle
I bought this from my granddaughter who received lots of candles for Christmas. Just yesterday she showed me that she is using it and loves it. I have one myself and think it’s great for when the wax is low in the bottom of the jar and you need to trim the wick. Scissors can’t get that far down in a jar.
