Skybound Games Neverwinter Nights Enhanced Edition (PS4)

People all over the internet are complaining about the graphics of this, but I don't know why. I didn't buy it expecting to see Dark Souls 3 graphics from a remastered 2002 game, personally. Someone on here said that the game cannot be played online cause it was not meant to be sold in the US, but I can't verify that since I don't have PSN. All in all though, it seems great so far. I'm only at the beginning, but I actually like playing it with the joystick. I never got to play on PC, but my friend had it in mide school and I watched him a bit. The game has a very Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance feel, only with not as good of graphics and a combat system for relatable to Dragon Age: Origins. The only thing so far that I really don't like is that the color for the highlighted text when you are trying to select a dialogue is this very light yellow that if very difficult to distinguish from the unselected options in white.

Delivered on time and wow took me back to the good ti. times when I first played it on PC, the graphics are really enhanced and overall my only issue with it is that getting used to the controls was frustrating however top quality game that has brought back some fond memories 😁

This is hard to review for a few reasons:First, it's a remaster, not a total remake, so some of the very dumb choices in the original game come through. For example, why in the holy heck can you not have more control over summons? Every. Single. Time. You try and open a locked object they all start bashing it. It can get you killed if you need them and they're off bashing something when there are enemies. You'll have to learn to manually tell your henchman to unlock. Very annoying.Secondly, it's limited by the controller. I prefer console gaming honestly, even though I've played tons of PC games, but this game has some quirks. For example, the terrible way you move between menus, etc. Going from the map to characters to chat... I don't get why it's so clunky. I roll my eyes and actually laugh at how dumb it works sometimes, especially the mini map. You'll see.I could go on about the game itself, but that's old hat. The game is great if you love old school DnD like I do. I LOVE this and IWD, Baldur's Gate, Temple of Elemental Evil.... You got it. If you love those, this is for you. You can get past the issues I mentioned, I have.
