Pilot Kakuno Fountain Pen, Clear Barrel, Extra Fine Nib (10816)

Other than not pin on the cap, there's everything good about it. Writes smooth like butter. I didn't know that I write that well, of course because of this pen.

I recently bought this pen and this a great pen design wise and utility wise , the only gripe was the tripod grip on the pen, but its fine as the pen targets beginners

Pilot Kakuno is one of the cheaper pens I own. However, its one of the best writing pens. Its smooth, gives proper control on your writing, light weight, etc.Simple, elegant and close to perfect pen

I didn’t think it was worth buying since I was so happy with the throw away fountain pen they make.But this pen is amazing! So smoooth you need only the faintest of pressure. Love it.Looking for similar but in a shorter body.

The pen itself is sturdy and the demonstrator body looks great. The nib is too scratchy, even for a Japanese extra fine. I’m not talking about a decent amount of feedback; it actually cuts the paper as I write. A bit of smoothing on a micro mesh helped to stop it from cutting the paper but it still has quite a feedback. It might work better with a wet ink so it writes even if it barely touches the paper.
