Light blue touchpaper and stand well back!
A fantastic insight into the human condition, provoking many ideas and insights at a very personal level. Peck's observations are clear and undeniably accurate, if he has any flaws it is in allowing his strong Christian beliefs to colour his observations. However these are easily taken with a pinch of salt, and those who cannot see past them to the underlying truths have deeper issues to deal with. Not for the faint-hearted though, you may well discover much that you do not like about yourself, the good news being that if you persevere you may end up better off in the long run. Dig deep and read on!

A Classic reprinted
I bought this book many years ago and it helped to change my life. It helped me to rethink my values and ask relevant questions to work toward a more productive and inclusive life, to take "The Road Less Travelled" as the poem said. This time I bought it for my daughter who now lives in Ha Noi, North Vietnam. When she was in the UK, I suggested it, she took it on her travels and she lent it to a friend, before she was finished reading it. This time, I had the opportunity to send it to her again and found it on Amazon.

CHANGE YOUR LIFE (if you want to)
I bought this book because it was referenced in another book that I adored. But I had no idea that what would follow was an opportunity to change my life for the better. It's not an easy journey but it is a wholly worthwhile one because facing fundamental truths about ourselves is such a liberating privelige that we have access to if we simply choose to engage. Every chapter will not resonate personally for each person yet M. Scott Peck's analogies and anecdotal evidence keep the book interesting and easily comprehensable throughout. It is simple yet not patronizing, complex yet not puzzling and most importantly, educational but never EVER boring.

Upliftment
This book encourages thinking about our lives, suggests we question our inappropriate views. I bought this recently for a friend who is searching for a purpose to their life.It opens many doors which offer suggestions for more fulfilling lives and spiritual fulfillment. I look back fondly to when I first read this book - it helped me a great deal to live a more appropriate life.

`further along the road'...
I read this book years ago and I have just taken another look at it. I wanted to see it `further along the road'... I guess it's easy to find fault, as it is with anyone taking the risk of writing about these topics. That said `the Road Less travelled' is a very good starting point for anyone looking for meaning and personal growth. I read it when I first looked at myself, at a deeper level, and now I have now read it again after training as a Psychotherapist. Dr. Scott Peck has offered an excellent entry point for anyone looking at personal development. Ian Claffey.
