Overall, these are great lights and the quality of build seems professional grade. My electrician recommended them over other brands and now I see why. I am happy I bought them, but they do have a couple drawbacks.The GOODQuality of build - they are solid metal and will last a long timeThe lights are nice and bright as I expected (I did a LOT of research on kelvin color temperature!)They were pretty easy to installThe BADDistance of motion detection.The lights are kind of a pain to get adjusted and point in the right direction, but still manageable.The light base holes are too close together, especially if adding a third light in the middle like I did.My CUSTOM installationI bought 6 of these two light units which have 4000K light. For 3 of them, I bought a third light (3000K) and a photocell controller and added it to the light base. This provides 2 level lighting with the single 3000K light staying on all night and the two 4000K lights coming on when there is motion sensed. Overall, that project worked very well and my wife likes how they look and is happy. Happy Wife=Happy Life!!Hope the review helps.

I had my electrician install this so I'm not sure as to the ease of installation or not (I guess it's actually easy if you're willing to pay someone) The light itself is quality. I think the 4000k light is too harsh personally but that is preference. I couldn't find a 3000k version of this light that had the motion sensor built in (but I believe you can build a custom one if you buy the parts individually) The motion sensing works well and if you have a switch wired to it and flip the switch twice it the light stays on permanently. It costs about 5 times as much as a chinese knock off but I didn't want to deal with any quality issues so I went with this one.

Beefy, high quality. After looking at the junk at the big box stores and their awful reviews I decided to go with this. You can buy cheap junk several times or this unit once, I figured. I had had enough of having to change the halogens that would burn out on my old unit. The brand came at the recommendation of a friend. I installed it (easy) over my garage and the lights are very adjustable- I pointed mine down as to avoid disturbing the neighbors. I like that it had a hood over the light. Set up had to be fine-tuned, but that's normal. They are very bright. My only concern is longevity as there is no bulb to change, so if one fails you have to replace the unit.

This motion sensor light is of a good quality, however it stopped sensing correctly, it was installed the first week in June and stopped working properly around 3 weeks later. My wife told me that the light didn,t come on when she came up the walkway. I have tried several times to do the "walk test" at dusk and later when it was dark. In the dark from the furthest point of detection the lights would not come on. As you walked closer and closer the sensor was flashing a red dot and would not come on until you were right on top of it.The 30 day period had passed, I called anyway to see what could be done. I was told my only option would be to return it with a $40 restocking fee. Why restock it when it isn't working?I also received it in the RAB box only with no amazon box to protect it. It probably was restocked and sold as new again. Just a heads up this was a $200 light. I spoke with a tech at RAB and he said it is most likely the sensor. He also added that if you don't buy from a RAB distibutor they will not honor the warrenty. The only way thet will if it came from their own warehouse.The seller was Home Goods and of course the tech( without out even mentioning to him) said that this seller is notorious for this. I would not reccomend buying from this sellerat all.play it safe and buy it from an authorised dealer, It has a lifetime guarantee , compared to the usual 30 days.

This is a very well constructed light, especially when compared to the big box flood that it replaced. I installed it above a door and it was easy to adjust the sensor to go on when I approached the door. You can also adjust the length of time it stays on and the amount of light outside before it turns on. Since my electrical box is mounted just above the door, someone could easily unscrew the old bulbs to disable the light. Since this is LED, you can't unscrew the lights, so I feel it's more secure.The light is a clean, white light that is pleasing to the eye. The output is about 1664 lumens, which is less than the 2 - 90 watt bulbs in my old unit. It lights up the area around my garage and small back yard easily. However, if you've got a large area to cover, keep the output in mind as you may need more than one.

Great construction and cones with all needed parts. Installation was straight forward. The light sensor works great and can be customized to do anything (eg night only, 24hr, long duration, short duration). My only complaint (which is my fault for not seeing the product in person) is the light is too cool for my taste. I thought 4000 Kelvin would be warm enough comoared to the standard 5K lights. In retrospect should have bought the model with warm white balance at 3000 Kelvin. Since the bulbs are non replaceable, I'm sort of stuck with it unless I remove the entire fixture and send back.Otherwise great light and worth the premium over the crap in the stores.

I bought a slightly cheaper one that you often find retail and was sorely disappointed as the sensor was way too sensitive (tripped continuously on windy nights) and the LED's started dimming after 1 year. Unit failed completely in 3 years. On installation I could see that the RAB is a high quality unit, the sensor works perfectly and so far I have had it one year and it's still bright as day one. Aiming the lights is a bit finicky but you only have to do it once.Update - 5 years now, motion detection still works perfectly and LED's don't seemed to have dimmed at all. I will definitely stick with this brand.
