Are pesticides used in growing?

Yes. Pesticide use on tea leaves is very high. Some companies are way over the limit. The limit is usually based on one tea bag or the equivalent amount. So if you drink two you might be over again. It's not just pesticides you should be worried about. Anthraquinone and PAs are in many teas. Some smaller companies disclose this info on their packaging since they also test, but for most companies the testing is lousy. This company does not disclose it on their packaging. In Canada they tested teas and only one brand passed out of many. Same in Europe. Only 5-10% passed.

Is this 100% pure Ceylon tea or are tea leaves from other regions mixed in?

It was claimed to be 100% Ceylon tea - but the taste was not like many other Ceylon teas. We did not like it very much and will not be buying it again.
