Sorghum has usually been use to feed animals, but more and more are realizing it is an excellent grain for people too. We can't eat it raw of course. I mix it with other grain seeds as these are terrific for colonic microbiome. Red sorghum is said to be best, but all are good.

Had bugs in it so it got tossed in the trash right away

I bought this with the intention to EAT it. And yet it seems to be industrial grade material, perhaps intended as filling for beanbags (half joking). In addition to the sorghum, it has what appears to be branches, twigs, corn kernel and other unidentifiable matter. Amazon won’t let me return / refund - so beware!

Expensive and unclean. My product generated flies. Apparently the grain was not washed and vermin eggs were not eliminated.

Lovely product. Did have to pick out a few stray stems...no big deal. You should always check grains and beans for non food objects.

This would be fine for bird food, but not for growing mushrooms. Too much chaff, dirt, and broken grains. So that makes it way too expensive for what it is.
