A Halloween Tradition, Children's Book and Halloween Toy

We just got our copy earlier this week, and we LOVE it. I have a daughter who is almost 3 and who LOVES Halloween. I love Halloween, too, and I was looking for some cute books to have at the house to help us get in the spirit. This book fits the bill. The story is simple and easy for young kids to understand, but has enough imagination that older kids will have fun with it, too. The doll is fun, and actually sits on a plush stool (the stool and doll have velcro so they stick together, enabling the ghoul to truly guard your candy). The illustrations, however, is what really does it for me. They are whimsical and beautifully done. This is the first book I have ever seen where the lighting in the pictures looks real, the beams of light from the lanterns and the sparkle from the candy seems to jump off the page. It really captures the magic of Halloween.

Pretty sad that these guys would copy someone else's IP / concept... you can Google the Kickstarter page where the real one started out and its not this. Almost got duped, but saw the other review that spotted it as well. BEWARE....

Love him! As a Holloween fan that is not fond of Christmas I was excited to see this alternative to the elves. Wonderful book with it.

These are cheap knockoffs of the real one, but cost more. The real one started before these guys (Despite what they claim) and the real one has a better product. It's kind of sad how this one has failed to keep its Kickstarter promises, so I'm not sure how well they get their products out. Buyer beware I guess.
