Tombow Rollerball Pen Zoom 505 ,Ball 0.5mm , Silver , BW-2000LZ

The Tombow Zoom pen is fantastic. Sadly, I didn't get a paper crane or note but the pen is amazing. There is no skipping in the smooth flowing and consistent lines and it is the perfect pen for black India ink sketching. The tip is wonderfully responsive to pressure and produces lines of varied weight with finely tapered lift lines. the ink is quick-drying and waterproof making the addition of marker or watercolors easy. Pigma Microns are great but they can't create the same responsive weighted lines. Tombow refills for X-fine .03, Fine .05, (from Norisco) and Med. .07 line weights (from Plex Supply) can be purchased from Amazon. (Great for signing my books.)The Tombow Roll Pen Jr. 0.3 is apparently no longer available and I purchased this pen to replace it -- My favorite sketch pen ever! I lost one of my Tombow Jr. pens and 10 years later the ink still flowed perfectly and had not dried out in the tip. I couldn't have been more pleased. The Tombow Zoom works just as well. I only wish they were more easily available. I first purchased the Jr. pens in an art supply store years ago. Thank you Tombow for making this instrument available at an affordable price.

I like the look and feel of this pen. It's attractive, and would make a very nice gift. Nice fit for a man's hand; might be a bit big for a woman or child's hand.Very nice gel ink with no smearing, even right after laying down the ink line.I wish it came in a nice vibrant geen or blue; jade or aqua. But a very good pen overall!

To start with, this is a very nice pen at a great price point. There are a couple of picky little things that keep this from being a 5-star review. First, the cap has a very satisfying "click" when you close the pen; however, when you slide it onto the back end while using the pen, there is no click and it slides and slips enough that after a bit of use, it loosely hangs on the back end or falls off without re-pressing it onto the barrel. Not a huge deal, but the pen's barrel is just short enough and light enough that to use it without the cap on the back leaves me with the feeling that it is too short (my impression, maybe not yours). Second picky thing is that the writing end of the pen is nice and heavy, but the back end of the barrel is pretty light/plasticky. This makes adding the cap to the back end while using even more of an issue, in my experience. A little weight at the tail end might fix this in future model updates. Other than that, the grip is lovely, the width of the barrel is nice in my hand, the visual impression is that it is a "nice pen", and the actual writing experience is very nice and smooth. It's a keeper for me, but probably won't become my "all time favorite".

I use a lot of colored notetaking pens, however, this pen is always with me for the important and official stuff. It is really pretty but that is just a bonus. Love the weight/color/ and how it writes.

This is a great pen. Was unsure of spending $20 on an ink pen, I'm not an artist (for whom of which I would greatly recommend this pen), but after writing with it for the first time I fell in love with it. First off, the pen is just a beauty to look at, and it is very ergonomic in your hands. Not only is it comfortable to write with, but somehow very pleasing. I'm no pen expert, but the ink seems to flow very even with no bleeding. I'm a mechanic and I keep a log of virtually everything I do, so I do a good bit of writing on a daily basis. This pen has performed flawlessly. I have had this pen for months now and have yet to lose it, probably because I refuse to go anywhere without it. Ink refills can be purchased here on Amazon for a good price as well.All in all, I see the price of the competitors pens and can conclude that the Zoom is something special, an unparalleled combination of quality and value.

I cannot say enough about how awesome this pen is, smooth ink flow, and I never have to scribble or doodle on a piece of paper to produce ink. It is always ready for use.This is my second pen because I lost my other one. I kept thinking I would stumble across it in my house one day, but I never did. If you are looking for a pen that always works and has a little bit of weight to it in your hands, this is your pen. You will not be disappointed! I also ordered a pack of refills so I am never without it. 5 stars all day long!

Excellent pen. Good fit for avg hand. Tombow is excellent producer. Have numerous pens - people keep walking away with them

I have long loved Tombow products. but find this pen less carefully crafted missing the "feel" of their line. The ink flow remains satisfying am the look as well. The inobtrusive grip band is a very nice touch. but fitting the cap to seal the pen is not as precise as the classic models.I like what I got, but got only a little more than what I paid for.
