Ricky Tims Presents Grand Finale by Ricky Tims

I ordered the dvd to learn Ricky' piping technique for binding the quilt. Really like how he teaches. I am really excited to try it and watch the rest of the video.

This video definitely deserves at least 5 stars. Ricky is totally organized in his presentation; steps are in order and thoroughly explained. The photographer deserves great credit as well for all the tight shots that make the techniques so clear. The background music does not distract. Great pacing; Ricky spends just the right amount of time on each section of the video. I love that it's indexed so that I'll be able to easily find specific portions of it to review. It gave me lots of new ideas for techniques to try. And the video answered all my questions about how Ricky gets his splendid results.

He does a great job, keeps your attention and shares many useful tips and techniques. I'm fairly new to quilting and found it very helpful. I would have given it 5 stars but it got a little cheesy towards the end when he wastes time waiting on you. I would buy more of his videos if they were available. He sure makes machine quilting look easy.

He is an amazing quilter, designer, musician. Love all that he does! Thank you.

What a delight this DVD is. Ricky Tims is an amazing quilter, but he is also an excellent communicator and teacher. This filming and lighting throughout this DVD give you a perfect view to see and understand the quilting of Ricky Tims. He takes you though a quilt from inspiration to completion, teaching you a number of techniques along the way.While watching this DVD, I stopped it numerous times to try out or practice some of the things R. was teaching. I would have to say that I am a long way from quilting like Ricky Tims, but I have learned some practical techniques along the way and have some ideas I would like to develop furthur as a result of watching this DVD. I have lent it to several quilters and they all like it. Now if I can only get it back to watch it again!

His ability to relate to the quilter's need for clear, concise instructions makes all of his various techniques do-able. The quality of the CD was good. Ricky made me feel like I was having a private lesson.

Wow! I watched Ricky (please forgive my error) as it was aired and just had to have it. I have already watched it several times and I am sure I will add this to my library for reference as my brain is getting old as I am.
