Very tasty sardines!!
These tiny King Oscar Sardines in Extra Virgin Olive oil are delicious. Unlike other brands, there is no bitter or unpleasant after taste. I especially like that they have the skin and bones for added calcium. They're good right out of the can, or on top of brown rice, or with a salad. Lots of ways to get additional Omega 3's along with lots of flavor. The only disappointment was when I tried to re-order them, the message says "temporarily not available" :( Hopefully, Amazon will be getting them in again very soon. I also forgot to mention that the price per can for these sardines was MUCH less expensive than in our grocery story!

The smallest baby sardines I can find on this side of the pond - High quality
This is for: King Oscar Two-layer Sardines in Olive Oil Cross-Pack, 3.75 Ounce (Pack of 12) After hunting for the smallest baby sardines, here in The States, it appears King Oscar brand provides the smallest ones I can find here. In Galicia (Spain, not Poland) it is easy to buy local sardines that are very small (smaller than these). The texture and flavor of the very small sardines is just better. I suppose it's a matter of....taste :-) The quality of the "two-layer" Cross-Pack is very high. The olive oil is pretty good, it's not Moroccan Desert Harvested green oil, but it seems pretty good. We have not had a single bad can and we subscribe to this 12-pack product every month. *Sardines, being at the very low end of the food chain (especially BABY sardines) do not have heavy metal concentrations like Tuna and other large fish, because they are not around long and they consume very small animals. You can pretty much eat them all the time. Highly recommended.

Excellent, but extra cost not really worth it.
These were very good and of good quality. I’ve deducted a star because, truly, for me, there was not much difference between these and the less expensive, 2 layer variety of the same brand. The difference in price wasn’t worth it. But they were fine eating, otherwise. And you can’t beat the nutritional value!

Even at a significantly increased price, the flavor and quality of these sardines is no where near what they used to be.
