Vertical Track (1 pair)

Not gonna say it was easy or hard, just very tedious, but way cheaper than paying a garage door company to do this. An overhead lift/lowering spring broke causing the door to drop on one side, unwinding that cable off the drum, thus bending the tracks so much they needed replacing when that side fell. I also replaced all the rollers with nylon rollers, both overhead springs and lift cables while I was at it. Now the door lifts and lowers very quietly and no problems that I can tell with the tracks. I did have to cut off about 1/4" so they would accommodate the floor sloping. Shipping was quick and the price better than anywhere else I checked. They are as sturdy as the original tracks installed by the garage door company and I recommend them.

I'm very happy to have found these. I used them to replace the lower part of the track that had rusted from about 20 years of use. The replacement track was exactly the same shape as the old one, but I had to grind about 1/16 inch off the end to allow it to fit easily. Most holes lined up with the old holes. The replacement track had most holes centered, and on my old track they weren't quite centered, so I had to re-drill those. I wasn't counting on any holes lining up, so this was actually a pleasant surprise. Neither of these modifications are likely to be a problem for anyone who would undertake this kind of project themselves, so I'm very happy with the purchase.

Bought to replace the missing horizontal tracks for a one piece garage door in a '50's built home. These are 6" shorter than the horizontal tracks but were cheaper and more readily available and they work with a few inches to spare.

Purchased two sets of vertical tracks. These are very nice and exact replacement for the originals that had started to gather some rust at the very bottom openings after some 30 years. Thanks to Amazon one can still find these separate items instead of having to buy an entire garage door assembly sold by local home improvement stores. Of course purchasing just the items needed certainly lowers cost as opposed to buying the entire kit with parts that are not needed and perhaps you may never need to replace on your doors. These were shipped very quickly and the packing was excellent. The quality is very good like the original and I believe can be expected to last just as long.

Following a car wheel distorting (bumping) one of the existing tracks, it needed replaced.Ordered this guy and had it swapped out in under 30 mins using a standard cordless drill and a wrench.The key is this CAME with the hardware I needed including a set of qty 2 each #4 and #5 bracket plus nuts and bolts.Only item it didn't come with is the lag bolts from bracket into wall. I reused mine without issue.Length was perfect, and garage door works great.

This product is a well made and finished (no sharp edges so no sliced open fingers) pair of rails that is a direct replacement for the vertical section of most residential garage doors. Installation was very fast. In my case, I had to shorten the rails by about an inch and re-drill a couple of holes. Very easy to do if you have a hacksaw and a drill.Amazingly, the big box home repair stores don't carry these rails and the garage door companies don't want to sell them without also charging to install them. Finding the product on Amazon was a real godsend.

Says vertical. I used it to replace a damaged (bent) section that was... horizontal. All seems to be the same. Does not come with splice plates, or track bolts. You need to reuse what you have, or order those too. Looks identical to my original track. Garage doors are heavy, and they are counterbalanced with hazardous springs. My repair was easy. The door was down, and the spring was never touched. I made sure the motorized opener was unplugged. If it looks dangerous to you, there are contractors that are experienced in garage door and track repairs.

I liked the product very much. Shipping was a little bit of an issue. The box got damaged and some of the parts got lost but nothing I really needed. The low overhead door kit was just what I needed. I only have a few inches of clearance. I needed to increase the height of the door to clear my truck. The kit was exactly what was needed.
