Panda Small Compact Portable Washing Machine (15.4lbs Capacity) with Spin Cycle XPB70- Largest Size

I love this Panda, BUT, it has been a learning experience. That being said, I want to thank the person who wrote in about using the expanding hose. (the hose that comes with, just throw it away JUNK). Turns out that the hose has a sort of valve thing. Unscrew that off and its the perfect size to fit the Panda incoming water slot on the machine.[...]And also with that paired with this:[...]One end permanently goes on my sink and the other is on the hose. Can't tell anything is different with the sink, just nozzle a tiny bit longer. The hose just snaps right on my sink.Now I said it was a learning experience. Here are the things that I've have learned.I tape the hose a little by nozzle entering the Panda. That way I know it wont just fly off and spray water everywhere in my kitchen.On the drain hose, I've tied an old sock of which I made small holes in. So much lint comes out while draining didn't want that to clog sink. Works good.And I did purchase a floating lint thing. That keeps the lint off my clothes.When I'm done with the machine, I tie a rag on end of drain hose to capture any water that may not have drained out.And I place a nice think rug under machine while in use. It soaks up any excess water and also acts like a buffer between machine and floor during spinning.And yes it spins them well but they are not dry by any means, so I place semi wet clothing on hangers until completely dry.And also one thing that's very important, if you don't want hard dry clothes. You have to use Fabric Softener in the rinse cycle. Never use that before this machine cause always had bounce in dryer.And another important thing I learned is to take clothes out of the wash side while water is in there before draining. I use to drain water out and move clothes over to spin. But the washer is so good that it tangles the clothes, and taking them apart with the water drained out made the clothes stretch.Seems like a lot I know, but on the plus side. My clothes are so much cleaner than with the Apartments Facilities. And if you have a metal/glass book/display case. Take out the middle shelf and remove glass from bottom and it fits right in for storage: (picture enclosed)@@@@@ UPDATE 1 YEAR LATER 7/31/17 @@@@Well loved it PAST TENSE but the spinner broke yesterday and no way to contact Amazon. Not sure if they would help anyway. I originally figured if this last of two years it would pay for itself. But no such luck. Wish could repair.

This is a great little unit for the price. And this was the first time I've used anything of this class, so this is a review for anyone who's used to using a normal washer and dryer and getting this for other purposes, like using in a studio room where you don't have connections.First let me mention the function of this is not fully automatic. You have to add your clothes, then add your water. I used a very small amount of laundry detergent. Set it for 15 minutes and it did agitation cycles for 15 minutes. Then you have to select drain and drain all the water. Next you have to refill the tub with fresh water to do the rinse. Set it for another 15 minutes, then drain that water. Then you can transfer your laundry to the spin dryer. The spin dryer is essentially just the spin cycle on a larger washing machine. So, this is NOT REALLY a dryer, just a spin cycle. Your clothes will be close to dry and can be hung or, as I chose to do, get a warm air drying rack. I got a decent one for $84 that has hangers and a cloth housing that directs all the warm air through the laundry.Bottom line is that this unit is great and does its job, but still requires your involvement and time. You can't just throw laundry in and come back to clean laundry. On a positive note, I have exceptional control on how the cycles work and how many times I want to rinse my clothes and how exact I want my water temp, etc. This unit can manage for 1 person, not a family.

POS !!!!! Would not have bought it ! Would have returned it if I had gotten to use it in time allowed for a return! 15 minutes to wash, that is a fantastic thing... but 15 days to rinse... that SUCKS !!!! if your clothes ever get rinsed !!! Eventually you end up taking them out and rinsing them by hand !!! I have tried every possible way to rinse the clothes. Fill with water, swish, drain, spin the clothes, back to tub, fill with water, swish, drain, spin, back to tub, fill with water, swish, drain, again and again and again, still, soap, soap, soap... and before I hear the comments about too much soap, this has happened with 1 teaspoon, yes, one teaspoon ! of soap. it's as if there is a reservoir under the unit that holds back a certain amount of soapy water, so when you refill it, you already have soapy water. so I suggest you only use it to wash small items that you do not mind rinsing out by hand. forget about rinsing out a large sheet, or a blanket, or especially a towel or something that holds soap in it's fibers.

Purchase date: August 21, 2016. First review was posted around December 2016.I've had this washer for a few months and run about 4 loads a week. It works great and gets clothes very clean. It's oddly fun to use. You just have to make sure not to overload the spin dryer and make sure it's balanced. The washer has paid for itself already--was spending $50 a month at laundry mat, so this is an awesome alternative.UPDATE: July 24, 2017 The spin dryer has stopped draining. Most reviews of this washer say it stops working within a year and that has unfortunately proven true for me too! Overall it's great and in the long run saved me a lot of money and hassle, but I don't really want to have to buy a new washer each year. Thankfully, I'm moving to a new apartment where there's free laundry so I won't need the Panda anymore. It's great while it works, but don't expect it to last more than a year.
