This is a surprisingly good turner
This moderately priced turner has some good features.#1 – Its front edge has is nicely beveled, leaving a table-knife-sharp edge. That makes it easy to get that edge under stuff without scrunching it up.#2 – Note that the interior blade ribs are thicker at the back, thinning towards the front. Consequently the blade is stiff at the back where you need stiffness, and flexible at the front where you want flexibility.#3 – Many slotted turners have an abrupt upward bend a couple of inches back from the front edge. That makes for a long flat region behind the bend and a short flat region beyond the bend. But this turner has a broader, gentler, bend that’s more to my liking.#4 – Its haft is heavy enough that the blade will cantilever over your countertop without touching it. No mess on my countertop! See photo. (That’s the case for many slotted turners, but I was happy to see it for this one.)#5 – Full tang, triple rivet haft.I’ll also mention that its stainless steel surface finish is lightly brushed, rather than mirror polished.I’d buy this product again If necessary, but I expect this one to last a lifetime.

Thin, flexible and sturdy
I am very impressed with this spatula. It is very thin and it gets under the food easily, but at the same time it is sturdy enough to pick up sizable pieces of meat. Just perfect for use on stainless steel or cast iron (NOT for non-stick surfaces). I took chances on it because it was much less expensive than the model recommended by America’s Test Kitchen, who I consider to be an authority on pretty much everything, and I was very pleased by the impressive quality of this spatula.

Great product
Incredible useful. Not just for turning the fish. I use it to stir the food especially when using stainless steel pans.

Serviceable fish spatula. Good for all sorts.
This seems to be a very good spatula--useful for all sorts of things. Best for turning things in a frying pan, but can even double as a whisk of sorts in the carefree world of the bachelor kitchen. The handle is made of some strange kind of pinkish wood--one hopes not looted from an unprotected old-growth (ie vanishing) forest. Works well in use. The blade has a semisharp and beveled edge, ideal for sliding under something that has just begun sticking to the pan. A very good buy if not environmentally destructive.

One of the more useful things in my kitchen
I actually find myself reaching for this fish spatula more than most things in my kitchen drawer. It's the longest spatula that I own, so it's very useful for getting a spatula under a large piece of fish or for turning meat. It's metal, so I don't use it on my non-stick pots and pans because it would scratch the Teflon. However, it works great for carbon steel or cast iron cookware. I also use it in place of a spider for deep frying things. The slats in the spatula are very wide, so it's great for fishing things out of hot oil and letting the excess oil drip back into your pot.I don't have an enormous kitchen, so I like to stick to the essentials and for me this has become an essential. Some reviewers get hung up on the construction of this vs others (how many bolts are in it etc) but I don't really care about all of that. It gets the job done and it's only a couple of bucks. I've been throwing it in the dishwasher for months, and haven't noticed any issues at all either. Seems quite sturdy.

Absolutely LOVE!
If you are looking for a sturdy, THIN bladed spatula, this is the one for you! I love using this in my metal pans. Due to the slight bevel on the end of the blade, it could be a bit too 'sharp' for non-stick pens. I wanted it for use in my cast iron pan and it works like a charm! Nice long, large shape. Great for picking up burgers or fish fillets. I believe it is dish washer safe. Due to it having a wood handle, I prefer to hand wash and it washes up very easily. I would definitely recommend this item.

Excellent
I always choose this spatula over the others in the crock. Over a year of routine use and it is holding up well. I use this with stainless sheet trays (roasted potatoes, veggies, etc.), stainless pans, and cast iron. Highly recommend - great flexible performance with enough spine to scrape if needed. No corrosion and wooden handle is holding up just fine.
