Will this tool work with metal stain?

This tool works with any concrete pool stain. I also use Wet/Dry Sandpaper on a drywall block and pole. For curved spots I use pvc elbow and pole. Lo-Chlor Stain Remover I use for general pool brightening.

Can you use this with vinyal lining pools as well?

That was what I used it on. Not sure what you are going to put in it but I had staining on the bottom of my pool. I tried this and eventually just took vitamin c pills and sprinkled them in the area where the stain was, let it sit for a while and then used this scrub pad to work the vitamin c into the liner. Took a few tries but it eventually got the stain up.

Will this device work stains on the sidewalls of a pool? Please only answer if tried

We used in on small stains on the bottom of the pool, but I don't see why it wouldn't work, you'd have to hold the pad in place on the stain, I don't think it would work on large stains though.
