They work but must be forced for the lower range span. Upgraded to 4 stars
When I received them I was a bit worried because they are supposed to draw down to 34mm and turning them by hand only went down to 37.5mm. My project requires a 38mm span, (too close for comfort). I had to use Allen wrenches and force them to a smaller span. They went all the way to 34mm as they are supposed to, but only with some force at the end of travel.I haven't actually installed them yet, but once forced they seem to be OK.An update. 18 of the 20 worked just fine for my application. 2 of the female parts did not have good internal threads, I was unable to tighten them at all. They went together real easy.. too easy.. that's why they wouldn't tighten. I have submitted a note to the seller and waiting to hear back.2nd update: The supplier returned my inquiry regarding replacing just the 2 that were bad. It seems they can't just replace the 2 so they are sending me the whole package again. Their response was very good. I have upgraded to 4 stars since they are making good on the defective two.

Use for hipster door
I welded together some angle iron, and ordered the beautiful 20mm 30 pcs. kit of this cap nut-kit.To make it clear I wanted to advise the DIY crowd—these are super super nice in finish and quality, Thick chrome and they go together like a German-clock. To be clear: The male part is 20mm and the female part is about that same size on all the kits. For a one inch thick project these worked perfect (had to tighten all the way down). If you are clasping together 25mm of product—It would require the 25mm kit and so on. But I would not order a bigger size if you are using for example; 30mm or so on—the 30mm probably clasps up to 43mms or so on...So in reviewFor 25mm use 20mm. For 30mm use 30mm, for 40mm use 40mm or 30 or 35.I hope that is not to confusing—but just remember the "mm" measurement is the "male" part of the nut-kit and the "female" part stays the same size...

Large and solid. Make sure they fit your needs.
These are nice thick furniture connecting screws. Make sure that they are the right size for your furniture that you are connecting.

Industrial-Grade Frustration, Now in Screw Form
If you’ve ever thought to yourself, “Wow, life is going too smoothly, I’d love to waste an afternoon cross-threading cheap hardware,” then congratulations—you’ve found your perfect product. These allen screws with cap nuts offer all the refinement of a gravel driveway. The threads are cut with such surgical precision that they seem to actively repel one another, like two cats being forced into a bathtub. Every turn of the allen key feels less like fastening and more like filing metal off both the screw and the nut at the same time.Thread engagement? Forget it. You’ll get halfway down and suddenly discover that the screw has decided to freestyle a brand-new set of threads—at a jaunty angle. It’s like watching a toddler draw with crayons: sure, it’s “technically threading,” but good luck making sense of it.In short: if you’re assembling something you care about, buy literally anything else. If you’re trying to invent new curse words while sweating over stripped screws and misaligned cap nuts, then these are perfect.
