Q: The flap covering the usb port is almost impossible to get out of the way of the usb plug for recharge. how do you get the plug to stay in?

It is definitely in the way. This is a poor design. I just bend it back as far as I can far enough to allow the USB plug to be seated. I only use these to listen to music so I'm considering cutting it off.

Q: Will it power off automattically if not in use?

No, they do not. I also wouldn’t recommend this particular pair as the power button. Is controlled with an extremely thin piece of plastic under the rubber cover that it cracked after 6 months of use.

Q: How’s the microphone?

I’ve had no complaints about how I sound when I talk and I use it extensively for conference calls

Q: Can u make the phone ring & text alert only through the ear phones themselves? not out loud?

Yes, once the earbuds are on and connected to your phone, the notification should alert you through the earbuds.
