Smells just like cat
This stuff smells like a nice, clean, healthy cat: kind of bready, maybe a little dust, and warm. If you like cat smell this is the genuine article. Aside from that, the cats seem to tolerate vet visits a little more with this. Does not help as much with dementia if you have one that gets a little lost and howls for you but she seems a little calmer. It’s a better value than the plugin if you just need some here and there for otherwise content animals. Really well-built sprayer and cap, sprays a fine mist for even coating. If your cats respond to Feliway at the vet, it’s worth a shot for stressful situations.

This product makes it easy to travel with our beloved furry friends.
We have used Feliway spray when traveling by car for 3 cats on a 2,000 mile trip and back again. If it is sprayed liberally (more than the directions state) in the carrier and on the bedding and given time to dry, even the most vocal of cats will be relaxed and calm. The first time we used it, one of our cats took about 40 minutes to calm down as he "talks" the most, but the other 2 cats didn't make a sound from the very beginning. However, I found if I spray a little extra in his carrier and wait about 20 minutes and give it another light spray, allow to dry and put him in, he too becomes calm and quiet. All 3 cats remained calm and quiet for 10-12 hours at a time in the car. When traveling, we feed them wet food early in the evening on arrival to the hotel. When they've finished the wet food, we leave only dry food and water through the night. We take the dry food and water up in the morning and spray the carriers at that time so they have time to dry. We give the cats a final chance to use the liter box if needed, while we have breakfast. When we return from breakfast, we put them in the carrier (which has already been sprayed with Feliway and allowed to dry) and load them in the car. They do not eat or use the liter box while traveling in the car and remain in their carriers the entire time. They have no issues and as mentioned, remain calm and quiet for 10 or more hours while we are driving. I do use the Feliway diffuser when in hotel rooms. And because it takes a while for the diffuser to work, the cats are not as calm in strange hotel rooms. Without the spray product, travel with our beloved furry friends would be much more difficult, if not impossible.

Works good but smelks
It seems to help my cat from stressing. It leaks at the top and it has a strong smell. It smells for a long time. I would of gave 5 stars if it wasn't for the smell. It's expensive for the amount and the fact that it does leak.

Feliway works, but my cat doesn’t agree with the spray product.
First, I have used the diffusers for years despite how expensive and bulky they are because it’s such an effective product! However, for some reason my cat doesn’t respond nearly as well to this spray version compared to the diffusers. I would love it if my cat responded as well to the spray because it’s less expensive for amount of product I think, and because I personally don’t like having any type of diffusers because they take up so much space. So, I gave this 3 stars because I feel like this may be less of a flaw in the product and more to do with my cat’s behavior/what he responds to best. It’s not a spray with a lot of alcohol or scent at all and I always spray my cat’s carrier or other areas & wait several minutes before exposing my cat. So, it doesn’t seem to irritate my cat, but he definitely notices the scent (the actual pheromone product; not a fragrance sent) exactly where it’s been sprayed and will go away from that area...or when it comes to crate/traveling it’s never seemed to make any difference in how calm he is.I’ve read mixed reviews on the diffusers whereas I can’t recommend them enough; they were absolute life savers for us and our cat has severe anxiety and other issues that make him a “high maintenance” pet lol, so if a product can help such a difficult case there’s definitely science behind it. I just don’t know why the spray doesn’t emit a fraction of the awesome results the diffusers do. Given I only have one cat and how well the diffusers work, I can’t fairly go below 3 stars for this product because it’s probably worth a try and very well may vary with certain pet & household factors. What works best for one cat might not help my cat?Con: I would 100% recommend giving this product a try if considering it, but the spray is non refundable due to standards on hazardous/liquid parcels. I know this because I tried to send mine back. This very well might be stated in the product description and I just overlooked it, but I do wish it had been stated obviously before checkout because I did think at the time of purchase that it was returnable if it didn’t work.

Helps calm my nervous kitty at the vet!
This Feliway spray has been a miracle for us! One of my cats really hates the vet. The last vet we had labeled her as a bite/scratch case in their records. She would growl and hiss if anyone tried to touch her. I've had her since she was a kitten and she is always super sweet with me (she's snuggling with me as I type this) so we just chalked it up to her not liking strangers. I want her to be healthy and get her checkups but I also don't want to overly stress her out, so I tried soaking her carrier (a soft sided carrier with a fuzzy insert and blanket) with Feliway spray to see if it would help.HELP, INDEED.When I first used this tactic in 2019, the vet was able to get bloodwork from her but eventually the spray wore off when she was out of her carrier and she got upset. We put her back in the carrier while we chatted, and then she actually let me take her out and the vet was able to touch. her. belly. to examine a lump that I was concerned about. Unheard of for this cat to show her belly let alone be touched on her belly at the vet without any kind of reaction. Most recently, we went in for a skin issue to a new vet. In COVID times they aren't allowing owners with the pet in the exam room so I was especially nervous that she would lose it without knowing where I was. I soaked the carrier, insert, and blanket again and the vet said she was great!I feel bad seemingly drugging my cat but I think we are all better off if she has good vet visits. I think it's better than not taking her at all. This product is a lifesaver!
