Perfect fit and Nice Quality
Our ice maker finally gave up the ghost after about 15 years. We have an Amana side-by-side refrigerator with an ice maker in the door. The model number on our old ice maker unit was S 106 626640. I admit that I had a little trouble cross-referencing this exact number, it did not show up on any replacement list I could find. That said, I was able to go directly to the Supco web site where they gave a lot more information about these ice makers - which I knew nothing about before I started.I ordered this unit because everything suggested it should replace nearly 90% of the ice makers out there. I guess I had no idea that ice makers like this were such a drop-in commodity. The RIM900 model from Supco was a nearly identical replacement for my ice maker. I ended up having to re-use the wiring harness from my old ice maker, which I was okay with since the harness was in perfect condition. I also had to remove the wire lift-arm and re-use my old lift arm. My old arm has an additional wire attached to it - apparently so the ice level won't get as high. Swapping both of these items on the new ice maker was simple, self-explanatory, and took only seconds. The pamphlet that came with the new ice maker said that I should wait at least several hours before deciding if the unit worked or not. Apparently the ice maker must reach 10º F before it will even fill the water tray. In my case that only took about an hour, the manual indicates it could be as much as 12 hours. For my repair, and in my freezer, the unit began dumping ice within 5 hours of the repair. After about 12 hours had passed the unit had made a few rounds of ice.I am very pleased. The unit is practically a drop-in replacement for the old unit on my Amana side-by-side, model # ARSE67RBB, with ice maker model # S_106_626640. I purchased this replacement unit RIM900 made by Supco. I'm not sure how to describe the "quality" of the unit, it is virtually identical to what came out of the fridge in almost every detail - and it functioned perfectly on the first shot. It has made several batches of ice since then.I did learn something very obvious, that I just didn't consider: If the unit makes some small ice cubes and some large ice cubes ... you may want to check how level your fridge is from front-to-back, and from side-to-side. If the fridge isn't level, the water in the tray won't freeze level and you'll get different sized ice cubes. You can either tweak the level of the ice maker itself by loosening screws, leveling the unit, and retightening them. Or, I suppose, just check that your entire fridge is level.

Great replacement
great product at a fair price: I called a repair service thinking " How much could it costs to just replace the icemaker". Well it was going to be over $140.00 just to have them come out. This icemaker was easy to install, and being kind of a DIY'er I did it in less than 10 minutes. I already had the old one out and after using the lift arm and clips from it, to replace the ones on the new one, it screwed right in place and was working in no time. by the next morning my ice tray was full of ice again.

Works for Maytag Model MF12569YEM0
Purchased this unit to replace a worn out ice maker in a Maytag French Door Refrigerator Model MF12569YEM0. It worked, but required the following:1) No mounting screws are provided with this replacement unit, and the screws required to mount it are different than those on the original unit. This Supco replacement unit requires three Machine Screws to mount, whereas the old OEM unit used a coarser thread screws which will not work with this replacement unit. Once we found three suitable screws it mounted fine.2) The fill funnel is smaller on this replacement unit than the one on the OEM unit, but this one works fine without leaking any water so I guess it's large enough.3) The ice cubes made by this replacement unit are about 30% larger than the ice cubes made by the OEM unit, but there does not seem to be any issue with dispensing the larger cubes.4) DO NOT DISPOSE OF YOUR OLD ICE MAKER UNIT UNTIL THIS REPLACEMENT IS INSTALLED because you will need many of the old parts, including the wiring harness. If you have the same model Maytag refrigerator as ours you will note that your icemaker has an on-off switch on the right side of the front cover. The Supco replacement unit does not come with this switch, but since you are reusing the wiring harness from your old ice maker, just use this same front cover with the integrated switch on the replacement unit and discard the cover that comes with the Supco. It's recyclable.Have only had the unit 1 day but it has already make a bunch of ice and seems to be working fine. I will be keeping an eye out for flaking paint down the road as I have seen that comment several times, but for <$40 this seems like a pretty good deal/

Super duper working icemaker. Works fast, EZ install.
Great deal on a perfect working unit! So happy I tried this one before buying ANOTHER OEM one which broke in five months. THIS one installed in a couple minutes and it's dropping ice every 45 minutes. I haven't opened the freezer since I put it in so I could get and accurate time. If your ice maker plugs into the back of the fridge like mine and the old icemaker cord is attached to the icemaker at the front you will need to order the wire harness as well for 7.50. I just went to their own web site (partshousesupply.com) (McCombs) and contacted someone who got back with me in a couple hours, they emailed me an invoice with a pay with paypal link and I had the wires in a few days. GREAT service! Will buy anything I need from them in the future!UPDATE: This is the best working icemaker we have EVER had. Still dropping ice every 45 minutes. The old icemaker could not keep up with us, we can't keep up with THIS one. Very impressed!
