Acceptance and Commitment Therapy: Principles of Becoming More Flexible, Effective, and Fulfilled
A**R
This audio course has helped shape me as a clinician and a partner. I could not recommend it enough.
Updating a previous review. Originally, I thought this was an excellent audio course. Now I realize just how much of a diamond in the rough it is. Steven Hayes is engaging and enlightening, and the recording has excellent pacing and production. I've yet to experience an audiobook quite like it.I have actually gone through the audio course maybe 6 or 7 times. It is quite amazing, especially if you are able to do the exercises. I worked through some pretty big emotions with some of the exercises, and I understand the mind better as well. I even listened through some of the chapters with my partner, and we practiced the exercises together. She's not a therapist and has found it engaging and helpful as well.As an early practitioner, I found that I had a significantly deeper understanding of ACT than my classmates in grad school, largely due to this audio course. Granted, I have since read numerous books and articles on ACT, but I was able to experience it through this audio course.
