Well, it's still working pretty great after 9 months. I can fully charge and then fully discharge the battery while using the laptop for hours. Battery hasn't expanded or anything like that. I've used a third party battery monitoring software to show accurate charge and discharge energy and time figures. All is kosher. My only issue, which is an odd one, is that my MSI battery charging light will show a steady red light while it charges to full, but then after a day or two, while still fully charged, my laptop battery light would start to blink (red light). It'll continue to blink like this forever, in a discharge state, until I detach and reattach the power adapter cable to restart the charge process. I don't know why it behaves this way or if others have experienced the same issue. I've tried the reset EC (Embedded Controller) button but it didn't resolve the issue. My only guess is that the MSI motherboard is somehow not able to communicate fully with this third-party battery since it's not an OEM MSI battery. But all in all, it still works fine for me. Honestly, I'm able to get 3 hours of streaming videos or 2 hours of heavy work out of it without any problems. I just have to ignore the blinking MSI battery light issue. Installed in accordance with the instructions. Came with partial charge. Charged to 100% discharged to 9%. Next time turned on, 0% charge and will not charge. Attempted all of the recommended fixes from MSI, it simply will not recharge. Have not been able to locate contact information for warranty replacement. Very displeased.

So far it works great. Matched exactly to stock battery on my MSI GS63 Stealth 8RE. Only downside is not with the battery itself but the screwdrivers that came with don't really work, the handle slips on the shaft. Not a big deal since I had another that was good enough, but it was a part of the reason I bought this one.

I researched for a long time before settling on this one for my MSI GS73VR. Glad I did! Works like a champ right out of the box. I have only had it for a few days, but it seems like great quality. I can't believe I paid a repair company to replace my old one for me years ago, because it is truly easy to do it yourself even if you don't have much experience. Just keep track of all your screw placement when opening the bottom panel as some will be a little longer then others and it will save you time when closing it back up. I do this by laying them out in order of layout on like a sheet of paper or something.

My son was already familiar with taking the cover off of his laptop because of an SSD upgrade last year, so the battery install was relatively easy. He was able to use the tools sent with the battery to take the cover off and complete the install. Battery fits better and holds a charge better than the original one. I cannot comment on the longevity of the battery, only time will tell. But so far so good. Good battery at a fair price.

Did not last for a full charge cycle. I got one single use out of the battery before I had to pull it out and return it. It will not charge back up. When the battery depleted, it stopped charging and now my laptop is showing a flashing battery warning.Find an alternative, if you can.

UPDATED REVIEW 8/13/2023:I am giving 1 STAR for the quality of the product and inconvenience involved and 4 STARS for Customer Service Average is 3 STARS.I believe in giving credit where credit is due. To my surprise, I was contacted by the manufacturer of this laptop battery a few days after my review posted. I was offered an apology and a full refund and was asked to write a "fair-minded review." I'm not sure what a "fair-minded" review is, given that I told the truth, albeit that I was emphatic in telling the truth.I accepted the refund, however, a day or so later, I was told that the battery was still under warranty and would be replaced. I told the representative that contacted me that I had already ordered a replacement from another manufacturer and that I would prefer the refund. The offer of the refund was honored, but due to logistical issues that were beyond my control and the manufacturer's control, the credit in the form of an Amazon gift card balance took a little longer than expected.To be fair, I feel that the battery did not live up to reasonable quality expectation standards, as such, the inconvenience of removal and reinstallation of another battery became a necessity. This should not have happened in the first place, however, mine was a sample of one battery and I would not discount the possibility that I got a bad copy and that these batteries could normally provide a longer service life. That is always a possibility, and any reasonable person should take this into account.To the credit of the manufacturer, I did receive a refund and that is much appreciated and should be the standard operating procedure of any company that cares about customer satisfaction. Given that, I would give this manufacturer another try should the need arise.As always, CAVEAT EMPTOR, "let the buyer beware." Mine is so swollen at 9 & 1/2 - 10 months that I'm afraid to turn the laptop on. The laptop case is bulged so badly that the keyboard is awkward to use. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. By the way, I followed the break-in process to the letter and it's just junk. I hope I can find a replacement before I get another one. I'm going to buy a cheap one this time. Also, note, that I paid $20 less ten months ago, the price has gone up and the quality is junk. Yet another piece of Chinese garbage from amazonian. Is there an American made battery for this?
