A Very Helpful Resource
This book is an invaluable resource in finding the appropriate scholarship opportunities for your high school son or daughter. The book is organized into logical categories, segregating scholarships by Merit-Based, Financial Need-Based, Nationality/Ethnicity-Based, Religious-Based, Degree-Based, and others. It then provides specific information regarding the scholarship offered including eligibility, requirements and source information. I found many scholarship opportunities that were previously unknown to me. This is a most valuable tool which will allow the reader to navigate the daunting task of finding the appropriate opportunities available in a single volume.Mr. Neuwirth has saved me hours of research with this well written book.

Awesome Book! A Must for every parent who has a child(ren) going to college. We have 15 year old triplets in their sophmore year of high school and have had many discussions about college, tuition and scholarships. We have been putting off the searching for scholarships as we knew it was going to be a huge undertaking....not any more! This books is designed specifically for students in high school and provides so much information. It outlines types of scholarships, overview, deadlines and much more.Thank you for taking the time to write this book!!!

Old Info
While this book has some good suggestions, it also has a lot of scholarship info that have expired or are no longer being offered. Don't buy this book! Spend your money on the current books that are renewed annually.

Excellent Resource and Time Saver to Lower College Costs
I have a junior in high school and began searching the web for college scholarships. The problem is that there is TOO MUCH information out there (Google "college scholarships" and you get 124 million results!) What are you supposed to do with that? The great thing about the book is that the authors have already done all the hard work sifting through the mountains of data and compiled a nicely written guide that gives you a great deal of information in a well organized and concise manner. It's absolutely worth $12 so that I don't have to spend countless hours wandering the internet on a topic that I don't understand that well.I especially like that the scholarships in this book are exclusively for high school students. You would be amazed at how many scholarships are only for college students or grad students, which is great for them, but not what I am looking for.Additionally, you can focus on the type of scholarship that you are most likely to win, whether it be financial aid based, merit based, ethnic background and others. There were a bunch of easy to enter random drawing scholarships that we are applying to as well. Someone has to win them, but only if you know about them.
