Inappropriate for small children
I ordered this for my 3 year old. He chose it based on the songs and was excited. He now listens too it every day and I have to wait like a hawk to edit out certain parts of songs by turning down the volume or hitting "next" on the CD player. The reason is that this CD has songs with very violent lyrics. Even though they redid the songs with kids voices singing, they still kept in lyrics like "hounds of hell" (not really my main complaint, but just pointing this out for those who care about language). The thing that bothers me the most is simply the scary lyrics about evil, blood, etc. You know, the song "Thriller!" I don't know why I thought they would edit the song for kids, I guess because this is a kids' album... There are also very scary sound effect songs which take up a huge portion of the album. Lots of screams, etc. I have to turn it off before it gets to this because I want my 3 year old to sleep at night. I like sleep. The album specifies "Ages 8 and up." This is not for preschoolers! This should be on the Amazon description page as well. Giving it 3 stars because of all of this and because it has too many boring sound effect tracks.
