This product was recommended by my physical therapist, and it is fantastic! I have several bulging discs, and to drive my car for any length of time, its very painful. With this item, it supports my back in the exact spot that helps me not have pain at all. This is a fantastic item. I totally recommend this. Some are cheaper, but I would just stick to this original item, cost is nothing compared to quality and comfort.

I've been dealing with sciatic issues for a few months and I wish I had bought this sooner. My pain has improved significantly since using this while sitting on the couch or in my car.The firm density is excellent for my soft/plush couch, but it's a bit uncomfortable on my car seat as that is already pretty firm. I may get a regular density one for my car.

Well made, but like others mentioned, an adjustable instead of elastic strap would be an improvement. I would get the smaller one for work use: this size puts me so far forward in my chair, I am on the edge. Maybe this is better for use in a car? The density/ support is great, though: muuuch better than a bunched up pillow. Good for preventing pain when I sit up to read in bed.

I have a bunch of lumbar back rests. This one is by far the best. Because it is so thick and never slips around. Easy to position. Save your back !You can even wear it if you want. But I just attached to my Steelcase Series 2 office chair instead.

Works amazingly well! I had low expectations because I've been through so many gimmicks to relieve my back pain. However, following the exercises in the book and using this pillow - while sitting at home, in the car, even on flights - has pretty much fixed my problems!

This is an extra firm pillow, which helps support my back, but also HURTS my back if I use it in the car/vehicle. I have found it more helpful at home or to take when I visit others home as a carry back support to put in the chair I sit in.

First, to address the 3 main concerns I saw in the bad reviews before deciding to purchase:1. Yes, it IS difficult to stuff the foam back into its cover after removing the plastic. That said, I also struggle to get the foam back in my dog's orthopedic bed after washing the cover. That's just how it is if you want foam that fills the cover.2. The cover IS NOT a heavy high quality material. This probably isn't something you would want a thick cover for, though - it would diminish the benefits of the foam. Do you encase your memory foam mattress in heavy canvas? Probably not, because it wouldn't feel as nice or be as effective. However, the cover WILL likely tear with frequent removal/washing.3. Foam breakdown. This I can't speak on because I haven't had it long enough. I will say that you shouldn't leave it in your car because heat breaks foam down pretty fast. It also breaks down with heavy daily use, which is one of the reasons running shoes don't last forever.Those are valid concerns, but I feel they would be the same for any roll made with this type of foam.Now for the PROS:1. This is the first time I've been able to sit down, without lower back pain, in a while. This thing is perfect. If the cover rips, I will repair it.2. See #1 above.I went back and forth trying to decide between standard and firm. Ultimately, I decided on firm because at 5'7 and 200lb I'm on the heavier side. I can see how some would find it too hard, but it's just right for me. I can use it in chairs, and even lay on it on the squishy couch (but I think it would be too hard to try that on a less forgiving surface).

Purchased this a few months ago and what a shame I didn't have this sooner. I drive a lot and have lower back issues. this helps me to be more comfortable while driving and has improved my back issues quite a bit. I will be taking this with me on my next flight as well.
