Pioneer DDJ-T1 DJ Controller for Traktor

This controller is great. I have been using Traktor for a couple of years already and this is a great tool to take full advantage of the effects, loops, and jog wheels are just as if you were in a cdj a little samller though. I recommend this product for mobile Djs as my self or just as a transition tools to digital djs or viceversa since the layout is really similar to what you find in the clubs and it's a Pioneer product, great quality and solid construction.I also added some flavor by complementing this with a Traktor F1 from Native Instruments to take advantage of the remix deck, this is a must, it takes your creativity to another level.Finally I bought both from Amazon, I couldn't be happier to receive my new toys at my door step the very next day, don't you love being Prime,just incredible and products were in great condition.

Yes this was a great controller as of 1 year ago, however Pioneer has pretty much abandoned it. If you purchase this controller prepare to always be atleast 2 to 3 revisions behind the current traktor version. To this date,(October 2012) it is still no supported to work with Mountain Lion (released in ummm August) and Traktor 2.5. So you will be running older software. Also there are some buttons that just never lit up agggrr I suppose you can go to preferences and use the "learn" feature in traktor to customize it and get the button to work but who has time for that? It should just work out of the box and it just doesn't. Too bad because the jogwheels are phenomenal. I do love the dedicated Filter kno, which the s2 lacks! But why did Pioneer omit the gain led fader lights on each channel, like common, the sc1 has them! This is an $800+ controllr ! One of the main reasons I bought it was for "needle search" which I thought was super cool but honestly, I hardly ever had a real need to use it. This is a great controller mind you, except that there is a gap between hardware and software. The hardware is there but as far as software, as soon as there is an update you have to wait months for pioneer to catch up and give you an update. Additionally, its just not portable. If you think you are going to carry this enormous thing around as a mobile dj, forget it, its HUGE! While that makes for a great home controller it makes for a lousy portable controller. I looked like I was carrying a damn keytar to my gigs because all the bags that fit have to be so damn big. Also dont let the looks or price fool you, its still plastic and feels like plastic. $800 is just overpriced for this giant controller which will have you at the mercy of pioneers software upgrades to catch up to traktors numerous updates. I bought this controller and had it for about 5 months before I decided to get the much smaller, smarter, cheaper and more convenient Traktor S2. Sorry I really really tried to like it. Dont waste your money, Pioneer has something new up their sleeve get the s4 or s2 its just better and cheaper.

It works good. But it doesn't have any meter lights on the channels, no XLR, the effects that comes with are really bad, so I've upgraded to Scratch Pro 2 to get more effects.The filter is not a filtr but more of a killing switch, it will decrees the volume big time when applied.You can get smaller controls but I like this better because is Pioneer, simple as that.The construction is rather fragile, we'll see how durable it is.I don't understand why they advance so much more on the Serato version development and not with this one..Before I've used to bring my CD players cdj 900 plus the mixer and connect it all. Now things are pretty simple and handy.

I am extremely satisfied with my DDJ T1. It gets the job done whether you're playing at a house party, to a wedding, and even a club. The decks are quite similar to Pioneer's CDJ -400, which make for a smooth transition from a 3 in 1 controller like this T1 to a more professional standard setup like the CDJ Nexus 2000's usually accompanied by Pioneer's DJM 900-SRT.I just wish this controller had an option to update the default Traktor software already provided, to the latest version of Traktor Pro or whatever other Traktor software the user may have preferred. Other than that, awesome product and great buy!

It is a great production of pioneer. If you like pioneer's production and you are a beginner DJ, this is a recommended device for start. I prefer 4 channel instead of 2 which is DDJ-S1. The only this I figured out is the difference between Traktor and Virtual DJ software. I used to use virtual DJ but this device is made for Traktor. It seems Traktor is much weaker than Virtual DJ in songs analyzing. Specifically for Persian dance musics. It seems this problem is less likely to occur for other types of music. Overall, buy it and enjoy it!

- Packaging was perfect delivered on time.- The item is in perfect conditions, very well packaged, no problems- The Controller its very nice, I love it- I my opinion is still better than Aero and Sx controllers, so choose these before those (Check reviews in youtube)- The only weakness is that is too big to carry from place to place, although you buy a flight case or any other case, But in a while you get used.Thank you,

i just have a month using this controller.Pros:Very Pro Look, Knobs and buttons just like the CJD's and DJM's, Jogwheels outstanding.you can easily beatmatch without the Sync Buton just using the jogwheels.great version of Traktor.Cons:no Leds that helps you to know when clipping (can be solved coneccting the unit to a master mixer on club.no kills on EQ (software problem)
