Kids made these in class. Learned basic sewing technique. Shocking that some do not have even rudimentary skill with needle and thread. Kids really enjoyed this project. Made products for a school sale to pay for a field trip to an aquarium. Parents loved the finished pieces.

This is a really cute, high quality kit! I bought this because I wanted a space themed mobile for my son's nursery and all the ones I could find to buy were super expensive. I honestly believe this kit is on par with the quality of what you would get on Etsy for several times the price, and I liked the idea of making his mobile myself. Granted, I'm not much of a sewer, but as a former elementary school teacher, I find it a little hard to believe that a kid under 10 is able to do this on their own properly (if you care what it looks like). The thread, needle, and felt quality are all good and kid friendly, but it's a bit hard to keep the pieces together and stuff the stuffing in without pulling the threads out somewhat. I had to use my glue gun to fix a lot of them. More importantly, the stickers DO NOT adhere. I don't know if maybe I got an old kit, but virtually every single sticker (and there are a lot of them!) left the sticky backing on the sheet, so I had to use my glue gun for adding the sticker pieces, too. This was not ideal because many of the stickers are quite small and I burned myself a few times. Otherwise, this is a really adorable craft with high quality materials. I wish the stickers worked properly. Overall I still think it was a good purchase. If you're getting it for your kids, I'd expect to be pretty involved in prepping the materials and fixing issues with the sewing. Good fine motor practice, matching, and science theme makes for a nice project for little ones.

This set is a perfect present for kids who love sewing and the planets at the same time. The materials dor construction are clean, easy to use and beautiful. My daughter simply adored it.

Bought this for my 6 yr old granddaughter. Both of us loved this product. Each animal is individually wrapped (except for thread-which is in it's own bag and are full skeins of DMC thread-so there is plenty). I love that everything is so well organized. My GD did not have to hunt for every item she needed to make 1 animal. The wholes are bigger and more obvious so as not to frustrate a beginner with a needle and thread. The needles are plastic and perfect for little fingers and have large eyes for threading. The material of the animals is not felt but rather a stiffer thinner version of felt. This material makes it easier for a child to hold and sew at the same time. The stickers are clearly defined and precut but for one 1 mm that needs to be snipped. I liked this as they don't get lost before using. We made these putting the stickers on before sewing and some after sewing. The igloo was better before and animals that had bigger stickers like the otter & puffin. One of the most fun aspects of this product was opening up the bag of fluff which comes compressed. My GD loved cutting the bag and watching the fluff billow up. It's like a magic trick to a child. You don't need a lot of stuffing in the animals so there is a lot left for other projects. The instructions are pictorial. The only thing I would add is that the instructions do not tell you how much thread to use for each animal. We wrapped the thread loosely around the border of each animal 4 times then doubled it. It seems like a lot but you are knotting the ends of the thread together after threading through the needle. A double thread is going through each hole. My GD is not a crafter but she loves animals and she loved making these. I bought them during Amazon Days for $20.

Adorable craft that my 8-year-old was able to do almost completely on their own - they just needed some help tying things off at the end and removing the stickers from the backing. Kept my child engaged over a few days for about seven hours total. Even with the couple cons, still deserving of five stars in my book!Pros:1. Adorable2. Comes with everything you need plus extras of almost everything3. Comes with multiple needles so you can share the craft with a group of kidsCons:1. The adhesive for the stickers likes to stick to the paper backing more than the felt and is difficult to remove. I had to remove the sticker backing for all the pieces for my child.2. It comes with kid scissors but they have a really hard time cutting through the felt and thread. Recommend bringing some serious scissors to the craft.

This is the second kit I've bought for felt stuffed animals. My grandkids really loved them. Previously I bought the brand Cymbana and it was great. This kit has better instructions and really cute stuffies. Everything works well except the stickers that you put on after it is sewed and stuffed. Each sticker has small tab that has to cut off to separate it out - it doesn't just pop right out. But the worst part is that the stickers do not peel from their backing correctly. Half of the sticky stuff stays on the backing. They are really hard to get off! We have done 4 of them at this point and its very frustrating. The Cymbana ones could be peeled off by my 4 year old granddaughter. But even I was strugging to get the stickers detached and then peeled off the back. They are super cute but I'm not sure I would buy from this company again. If you really want the Polar Animals then its your only choice, so it might be worth it.
