Product Description 2012 collection from the international superstar containing 15 classic hits plus three bonus rarities. Pitbull. The man probably needs no introduction, but just in case: between a Gold record, nearly two million sold in cumulative career album sales, and numerous radio hits and club anthems, Pitbull is someone that's been hard to miss on the mainstream music scene. Review Kudos to the Orchard label for labeling this set properly as ''Original Hits,'' which covers pop-rapper Pitbull's early years, the ones he spent on the now defunct TVT. That means this is the Miami man's 2004-2008 era where his evolution from reggaeton to Latin pop to Latin pop-rap-dance is on display with names like Lil Jon, Lil' Flip, Fat Joe, and the Ying Yang Twins all on the guest list. Big hits here include the spicy crunk anthem ''The Anthem,'' the hypnotic reggaeton floor filler ''Culo,'' and the raw, pounding ''Bojangles,'' all of them sounding flashy, big, and like the start of a penthouse pool party where every beer has a lime on top. Rounding out the set are a bunch of strong second-tier singles including the ''Din Daa Daa''-sampling ''Shake'' and the Trina feature ''Go Girl,'' plus some very strong choices when it comes to album cuts, including ''Descarada (Dance),'' with dancehall superstar Vybz Kartel and the ''Rock Lobster''-sampling ''Hey You Girl.'' Hardcore fans will appreciate the three bonus tracks tacked on at the end of the set: the mixtape cut ''Lemonhead Delight,'' the rare ''Guilty by Association,'' and the anti-Castro ''Se Acabo'' show the compilers were well aware of the artist and his desirable extras. Don't expect the major-label flash of 2009's ''I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho)'' and all the hits that came after, but that sly smile on the cover is no lie, and when you get so much party music along with some danceable, uplifting ''free the people'' music, that's totally ''Fuego.'' --David Jeffries, All Music Guide

So I just assumed I would like all his music and bought this album
I just recently became a fan of Pitbull based on his new songs, usually accompanied by someone. So I just assumed I would like all his music and bought this album. I am not fond of it thus far. But everyone has their own personal taste in music, so I would suggest each person make their own informed decision. I did not listen to song samples before purchasing so it is my fault.

Pitbull Party
I first heard of Pitbull back in 2004 when I was in the military and stationed in North Island, California. "Culo" was one of the first tracks that I heard from him because it received heavy airplay on the radio. I was then re-introduced to him in 2009 when I was living in Orlando, Florida and frequently heard "I Know You Want Me" (Calle Ocho) on the radio. I had to give this cd a chance because I bought and enjoyed his "Planet Pit" compilation. "Shake","The Anthem","Midnight","Bojangles Remix" and "Toma" are some of the fun hits that feature on this cd. I only gave it four out of five stars because of my personal opinion that there some tracks from "Rebelution" and "Planet Pit" that could have made it on this compilation. For instance, music tracks such as "I Know You Want Me","Hotel Room Service","Give Me Everything", "Rain Over Me","Hey Baby" and "International Love" would have all made good additions for the "Original Hits" compilation. Aside from this caveat, "Original Hits" by Pitbull is great for those who like festive and up-tempo dance music.

Fans that have come to Pitbull relatively recently should know that this selection of earlier hits has less of a pop feel than later songs that made the charts. There are definitely some great club bangers here but over the course of an album the aggressive crunk style becomes a bit wearing.

This certainly could be useful at Guantanamo Bay but might be considered inhumane
purchased for my daughter. If I would have listened to it first I never would have bought it. Why does every generation buy music that their parents absolutely think is trash? This certainly could be useful at Guantanamo Bay but might be considered inhumane.

Not a lot of popular radio-played songs
I expected a lot more of Pitbull's well-known hits that got radio play. I wanted a CD with upbeat dance tunes.

I could live without all of the explicit lyrics but there are some great songs here
This is Pitbull before he attached himself to A-List stars. You can hardly recognize any of his co-singers. Lots of Spanglish, which is an art. I don't know if Pitbull writes his own lyrics but some of them are great. The explicit lyrics are a bit much; they ruin some of the songs. I recognized a few of the songs, but I didn't even know he was the artist.

Original Hits
Habe mir mehr darunter vorgestellt. Es sind nicht die Hits, die man sonst hört, hätte mir das Geld sparen können.
