I am a professional mechanic. My tools take hard use. I ordered these, the shorts, and the 3/8 all magnetic. It was a worthy investment. The magnets are good. So there is no dropping nuts and bolts down engine bays and spending 45 minutes looking for it. Be wise and fish them out slow so you don't knock the socket off your extension. I only use these when I know that I don't want to drop nuts and bolts. I use my regular sockets for all other uses. Some say to use the tape or the paper trick, but when you are in the bay floor of the shop who has time to go chasing tape all the time? I know I don't. Awesome, awesome, and they already saved my butt!

Been using them daily for a year now without any problems at all. Always on the impact driver so they get a work out. Magnets and springs still all intact where another well known brand one I have split the socket and lost its magnet within 2 months.

You can't go wrong with Sunex tools. Just as durable as the tool truck variety at a fraction of the cost. We use Sunex tools professionally daily.

These are a great set of magnetic sockets. It comes in a case and so far they have worked very well. Snap On does sells magnetic sockets, but they are $35 a piece and don’t come with a case. Unfortunately, this 10mm doesn’t have a large enough magnet for many of the larger automotive 10mm bolts (like ones that hold glass to door regulators). I will be getting a magnetic Snap On 10mm, but all the other sizes have adequate magnets for their applications. Overall, I am happy with this set and would recommend them to anyone that doesn’t like dropping their nuts and bolts in difficult to reach places. -“update“ got a Cornwell 10mm 3/8” magnetic impact socket from mercari and it is the best 10mm magnetic socket I have come across (huge magnet in comparison). It resides on a swivel head snap on ratchet, with locking williams extension, because it is so often used and so awesome. After tax and shipping the cost of the cornwell 3/8” socket was around $20, which with this 1/4” magnetic socket set and another Cornwell 3/8” magnetic socket, rounds out my magnetic needs affordably. Still recommend this set, at least until and affordable US made option is available.

For those of us that are professionals or even the casual user of these items they are worth their weight in gold. The sockets have no issues holding on to any ratchet or extension. They are strong enough to keep bolts and such from falling when working on cars. Some may say these are not worth the price. But you will realize their worth when you don't use them and you drop something somewhere that its a pain to retrieve said bolts or whatever it is you dropped.
