Product Description Paul McCartney proudly presents a collection of award-winning animated films and soundtracks including "Tropic Island Hum," "Tuesday," and "Rupert And The Frog Song." "The ideas that turned me on as a kid are the same ones that fascinate me today. I don't know that we ever outgrow our passion for adventure, humor, or romance. There's a childlike quality to the art of animation and married with a bit of music, it seemed the perfect way to bring these magical stories to life. I hope you enjoy watching them as much as I enjoyed making them." -- Paul McCartney desertcart.com Being a wealthy ex-Beatle has its advantages, and with his enchanting Music and Animation Collection, Paul McCartney shares his creative privileges with the rest of us. "Macca" served as executive producer, composer, and voice artist for this delightful trio of shorts, and animation director Geoff Dunbar deserves ample credit as well, along with his talented team of collaborators, since their work here is every bit as impressive--and arguably more entertaining--than anything in Fantasia. "Tropical Island Hum" discreetly advances the late Linda McCartney's vegetarian cause with its charming sing-song by a variety of animals who've been neglected or abused by humans... including a frog who lost a leg to "some French guys." Dedicated to Linda McCartney's memory, the dreamily amusing "Tuesday" (based on the award-winning children's book by David Wiesner) offers the fantastical vision of jubilant frogs on flying-carpet lily pads, floating merrily along on their nocturnal adventure, entering the homes of unsuspecting humans and, just as quickly, hopping to earth again as their magical night gives way to sunrise. Amiable amphibians also star in "Rupert and the Frog Song" (originally produced to accompany McCartney's 1985 film Give My Regards to Broad Street), in which the beloved children's book character, Rupert the Bear, witnesses the once-in-a-lifetime vision of frogs performing a glorious midnight concert. All three of these wonderful shorts celebrate nature, animal welfare, and the imaginative innocence of childhood, and McCartney (working with Beatles producer George Martin) can be proud of his role in their creation. --Jeff Shannon Review: Happy Memories - I have searched a very long time for this. When my son was a child we saw Rupert and the Frog Song on one of the pay channels and were entranced and delighted. As I got older I wanted to find it and buy it but couldn't locate it. I wanted it for the memories it gave me and because I wanted to share it again with my son (now 40!). I am so happy that at long last I have been able to find it. Not only is it wonderful to again see and hear Rupert and the Frog Song but the rest of it is truly a piece of art. If you enjoy heartwarming tales that can be shared with the children in your life this is for you and them. There truly is magic in the world if we but take the time to look. Let's not rush growing up, childhood is precious. Review: RUPERT THE BEAR IS ON THERE - This is just another example of how Paul McCartney has used his talents to spread joy. The videos on this DVD are ones that can be watched and enjoyed by the entire family.

Family time courtesy of Sir Paul
All three of these cartoons are wonderful. The animation is top class, the music and songs, composed by McCartney and produced by Sir George Martin are delightful. And Paul does almost all the voices. And nice lessons underneath the stories.

Animation + Music = Wining combination for my little one.
The content is obviously great. My little one instantly fell in lover with the song "We All Stand Together" and has been watching it over and over and singing along. One comment I would make about the DVD itself is that probably a better job could've been done with the MPEG compression. Otherwise, totally worth the buy. I only wish this was released on Bluray.

Enchanting, as always!!
I had several of these songs on CD and knew they were from a couple of animations Paul had done. I loved the songs and always wondered about the animations. When I saw this collection, I had to have it! They are all Enchanting!!

Inside the Cartoon Mind of Paul Mc Cartney
It runs for just 43 minutes but it is a very interesting and absorbing 43 minutes. The best bit is where the doco takes you into the storyboard meeting and how Paul McCartney gives his bit and you're shown how the cartoons are put together. And while you may think the length of the DVD may be a bit on the short side you have to consider you're watching some quality stuff. The Tropic Island Hum is also taking you into a world a little left field and you also get The Frog Song and Tuesday. This is a great DVD and like anything with a Beatle attached to it you get your money's worth. I paid less than $10 and I got more than what I paid for in value and in seeing kids and grandchildren enjoy the colours and the vitality in the music.

Great Animation.
Bought this as a replacement for my original copy which was destroyed in a wildfire. It has three really well made and enjoyable animated pieces. Well worth the price.

The DVD is great! Paul McCartney makes a statement about animation.and the fact tat you do not require violence to make interesting and fun films for kids. The music by Sir Paul and George Martin is terrific. A really great package.

Frevel!!!
