I'll get the caveat out of the way: If you have somewhat shaky hands, be warned that a product like this will magnify that effect on the Switch's screen. This is not a defect of the Fixture S1 -- this is simply due to the fact that the controller acts as a fulcrum so movements that may not be perceptible when using the Switch with attached joycons or joycon-substitutes are unfortunately magnified by the screen no longer resting at the center of movement axes. I fall into that category -- I can't detect any shaking or unsteadiness of my hands when using the Switch in normal portable situations, but with the Fixture my hands are just unsteady enough to result in very distracting shakiness of the screen. However, I am still very happy with the product for several reasons! First, it is very sturdy and well-constructed. It snaps on firmly to the controller but is not so tight as to risk damage. It's a bit of a bear to remove though, and I would be a little concerned about frequently attaching and removing it. However, the Switch slots in perfectly and is held securely, as the Fixture attaches via the grooves on the side of the system just as joycons and their substitutes do. It can thus be attached and removed very conveniently with no risk of damage to the system that I could determine. As advertised, the Fixture can also double as a stand to support playing the Switch on a flat surface with the controller detached - better than the Switch's built-in "foot" stand. This is why even though I may not be able to make use of it as a full portable replacement for joycons, I will still be able to make use of it in its secondary function. So yes, well worth the purchase, with the one caveat that if you don't have particularly steady hands any product that is intended to prop up the screen from the controller as the Fixture does may not be very usable for you. This is no fault of the Fixture nor is it an easy problem to solve, which is why I'm not docking any stars in the review.

TL;DR: This is better for the Switch than EVERY phone mount I've ever seen for using Xbox Game Streaming with an Xbox Controller. It's comfortable and pleasant to hold. I actually had reservations about getting this. Taking into account the weight of the Nintendo Switch, I was not convinced this was a rigid solution that would hold up over time. I am pleased to say that I purchased one after a friend had - and my reservations were at least partially eased. The metal brace used to hold the Switch is thick and solid, and the switch slides into the fork-light arms using the joy-con dock brackets. This allows the Nintendo Switch to lock into the mount without fear of it somehow sliding out. The pro controller fits snuggly into the controller grip. It snaps in, so yeah, I'd imagine there is a chance to "scuff" your controller - but that just seems like a petty complaint because truth be told, this has breathed new life into a console I have otherwise nearly given up on. The biggest concern was the hinges, and the likelihood they would remain tight enough to maintain a position without gravity taking over. I always have this concern with hinges, but I will say that after more than a month of use, the hinges are still very sturdy, and I don't actually adjust the switch as much as I would have anticipated.

This thing does exactly what it says it does and does it well. I find using the switch in handheld mode pretty uncomfortable so I just never did. This is so much better. Build quality seems top notch and the switch screen fits in really securely.

I love my pro controller and playing in handheld mode! And this was perfect for combining the two! I’ve spent countless hours playing Zelda with this and it make the Experience so much better!! Would defo recommend!!

I've purchased a few different products simalar to this one but this is far superior than all the others. Expensive yes! But definitely worth the extra money 100%
