I ordered the two-pack. I received a white and a black one. The first one I happened to open was the white one. It's very straightforward, click the button and the count increases. Roll the dial and you can zero it out in like 3 seconds.However, the casing was not quite put together well, loose faceplate (the black bracket around the number counter) jiggles and moves quite a bit. I'm surprised it even stays on at all. It simply wasn't assembled properly. It's also larger than the other one, which I thought was odd.The black one, however, was/is perfect. It's tight, nothing loose and works just fine. A little disappointed one of the two isn't assembled well and hoping it doesn't just fall apart.

I bought hand counters as a stocking stuffer per recommendation from Busy Toddler (busytoddler.com). I chose these for the color and only needing two for my 6 year old who loves to count and keep track of points. They have been a huge hit. He plays his own basketball and football games and keeps track of scores for team blue and team red with them. It is also helpful on car rides for making a game of keeping track of various items we see on the road. It has also helped him learn to read numbers in the hundreds and thousands. We are also using the counters to track data. Because he is 6, my son's life is apparently horrible because he "NEVER" gets to do what he wants. As an experiment, I suggested that he use his counters to take data on how many things during the day he has to do that he doesn't want to do versus the things he wants to do that he gets to do. So far, it's looking like odds are in his favor with the blue counter (don't want to do) at 6 and red counter (getting to do things I want) at 10. We'll see how the experiment goes. Anyhow, this might need an obvious gift for a child, but it has worked out well, and my son appears to enjoy them quite a bit. They have held up well for the first month post Christmas. It can be a little difficult for him to reset the counter by twisting the dial, but overall it works great.
