It looks big
But it works great and fits perfectly. Had to replace the knob that broke (the smaller in on left has a chip in the glass..I accidentally broke it). I ordered this one as a replacement and when it arrived it looked big but it fits the opening and actually is better then the original lid the 8 cup Hamilton beach perculator it came with.

I just received it today, tried to put it together but it did not fit, so I decided to try heating it first for a little with hot water so the plastic will expand, and it worked perfectly like a hot knife through butter.

Looks right by wasn't
While it looks the same as the one I needed to replace, this is far larger. Pay attention to the measurements of this item. They aren't kidding.
