What's the heat level on these dishes - mild, medium, or hot? Thanks!

These packets are quite mild. My husband, who does not care for spicy food at all, says they are just right.

Are the bags recyclable?

No, the bags are not recyclable. The bags have tear off opening at the top, and can only be used once.

Can these be eaten cold? (Travel for work microwave not always available)

Well, you can certainly eat them without heating. They are fully cooked and so it would not pose any health risk. It is just a matter of personal preference. If you are stuck without a microwave, you could certainly eat them without heating. They are precooked, so there would be no health issue. You could also put the packet, unopened in a sink filled with hot water, to warm it up a bit.

It's not clear whether the Everyday Chana is made in the USA. The back of the chana packet says, " Created and distributed by Maya Kaimal Foods, LLC, Rhinebeck, NY 12572." I have several jars of Maya Kaimal simmer sauces and they all say "Made in the USA." They have a contact form and email address on their website for consumers to ask questions.
