Great set of diy tongs precut for you to finish assembly. Just so people are aware these come ready for you to finish assembly of them yourself, they are to help beginner or experienced blacksmiths with a simple project to get the feel of being a blacksmith to see it you like or not. You need to heat these up and finish forming them, stretch them to desired dimensions and then drill or punch a hole for the river to finish the tongs. These are great I just wish they included a video demonstrating how to properly draw them out and finish assembly, I would be happy to make a video doing a demo for you (seller) contact me if interested. Thanks again seller. Highly recommend these other than the bad instructions.

I would definitely say they're a good bargain. However, pay close attention to the item details. I'll be welding on reign extensions. These are a bit short. ***UPDATE*** These are supposed to come with 1/4" rivets. They came with SMALLER rivets that aren't long enough to go through both tong halves. And no instructions, which are supposed to be included, as well.

These are EZ to build. Dedurr the handles, mark and drill a 3/16" rivet hole then set the rivet. All the clamping jaws need to be heated and set/adjusted. Some require a 90 degree jaw twist to work properly. I'm 100% pleased!

Very light weight my son will try to figure them out there is no directions at all on how to do anything it is not for a beginner.

Don't buy unless you have a Plasma cutter for cutting the holes in the things for the rivits! They don't tell you that.After writing this review they automatically sent me another set and changed me for them so buyer beware don't order them!!
