These are great. A friend gave me a pair to try and I love them. The plastic end helps push them into the ear and deaden the sounds. I use these at the range.

These are the best, primarily because they do not collapse and easily close off the ear canal.

Best ear protection ever
Almost totally deaden the sound I get from power tools in my shop/garage. Easy in and easy out of the ears. Very comfortable to wear. They do not interfere with my dust mask, safety goggles, or face shield like ear muffs do.
