A fantastic workout whenever you want it
If you're anything like me, you're sad. Your broken. You wake up think "it's hopeless". Well, that may be true, but why not get out some of your anger with Fitness Boxing?Setup is easy, requiring only the little wrist straps for your joy-cons and some weight, height and goal info, and like that you're off as Janice gets you moving.Don't like Janice's incessant "OKAY THAT'S GOOD"? there's a plethora of virtual trainers to pick from, dress up, and subsequently develop a mild infatuation with. The ding variety is fine, with some inexpensive dlc tracks available from the e-shop, but you're honestly fine with the out of the box functionality. The game is pretty forgiving with its timing, but will still sometimes register a quick movement as a pinch which can throw off your timing I get a good workout from the mediums setting, but there are easier and harder modes (*much* harder if you get the "no mercy" mode from the e-shop).I'm about suz days in and I love it.It doesn't do much to distract me from maddening depression or the intrusive thoughts that just will not go away, but hey, it's just a workout game, not a full-fledged therapist.

Fantastic workout! You will sweat and be sore the next day.
I loved the first Fitness Boxing and this one is even better. Yes, if you don't hit some of the moves exactly right, (stepping, weaving) it will be counted as a miss but you are still doing the move which is the whole point. I've tried all of the trainers and they are all annoying with their "helpful" constant commentary. Some are more annoying than others. I just mute the trainer and then my workout is perfect. Doing Fitness Boxing in addition to other workouts, (weighted hula hoop, Just Dance, or Ring Fit Adventure) will help you reach your fitness goals.

You will exercise those forgotten parts of your body
Given time and practice, this game will show the basics of boxing and will offer a good physical challenge.

poor motion detection at defense move
I got so frustrated when constantly missed on the defensive move (duck, weaving etc.) and then i search on the internet, i found that i am not the only one.will be a great exercise game if the joycons will be able to pick up and register defense move correctly.

Do not buy
Aweful game that does not track your punches well. It lags and then says you are off beat which messes with your score.

120 hours of playtime in this series, and I highly recommend
Fitness Boxing is the first fitness series to hook me, and I was really anticipating this sequel. With 115 hours of playtime in the original, I'm going to address things for both newcomers to Fitness Boxing 2 and fans of Fitness Boxing 1.Gameplay:Sessions can be set between 20 and 40+ minutes and with Fitness Boxing 2, you no longer have to go into a separate menu if you want to lower or raise the difficulty for a day. You'll be throwing combinations hooks, straights, jabs, sways, uppercuts, etc. to the timing of music with a trainer of your choice. There's now a clear purpose to the 'combo' sections as a point multiplier, which now 'supercharge' the background visual effects. Your score is now tracked and marked 'high score' per song, so you're motivated to improve it.Your weight, punches thrown, calories burned, etc. are all tracked by day, week, and month. If you played Fitness Boxing 1, all this data is imported. Nothing else is. You'll have to take the tutorial and 'ramp up' again to unlocking all the different boxing moves. The old trainers return, as well as a handful of new trainers which I believe players will receive very positively. I like their designs, such as Karen's very laid back attitude. I was REALLY worried they would ruin Lin, my favorite trainer, but they maintained her design, improving it a bit with more realistic proportions, and she appears to be a few years older. I'm not sure if that was intentional, given the real-world time passed since Fitness Boxing 1, but it's a nice touch. The only major complaint I have is frame-chugging which, in a rhythm game, could be a dealbreaker. Here it's not, because Fitness Boxing 1 fans should notice that timing hits is more forgiving than before. I never got a perfect score in the first game, but this time I've already gotten close. There's also a robust menu for tweaking any input lag if you experience it.A 2nd player can jump in any time now. Just throw them a set of controllers. Very cool tweak to the multiplayer.Vibration feedback is nicely designed, same as the first game.Fitness Boxing 1 Rating: 4/5New Gameplay Rating: 5/5Noticeable improvements from the first installment. Good incremental additions.Visuals:These are simply a step of from Fitness Boxing 1. The animations are smoother and more natural. The UI is sleeker, designed a bit more tastefully. The same emphasis toward the trainer models and textures exists here, with more wearable gear to unlock than the first game. The backgrounds are more interesting, detailed, and feel more active. The white background seen before a session has a nice effect where the scenery is shown loading in, like some sort of virtual reality chamber.Boy.. do they like their bloom/glow effects. Everyone's glowing and it has the effect of making the game feel energetic and positive. It could be a bit overwhelming to some.Fitness Boxing 1 Rating: 3.5/5New Visual Rating: 4.75/5Again, noticeable improvements, especially to the animations which were sometimes stiff and odd in the first game.Sound:This was a big problem for me in the first game, and it remains an issue here because it's been moderately improved.. but not completely overhauled.Music is subjective, but these are instrumental MIDI-like covers of hit songs, and SOME are actually well done. They give that feeling you're in a real gym with subwoofers pumping, but some miss... badly.. such as Katy Perry's 'Hot n' Cold.'New in this game are three completely original songs which, if you like EDM, are actually great instrumental tracks. I'd encourage the devs to go down this original music route more strongly if they refuse to open their wallets for high-quality covers (in a full-priced game.)Fitness Boxing 1 Rating: 2.5/5New Music Rating: 4/5Results:I've lost 15 pounds playing this regularly (while properly dieting) and gained a few pounds of muscle. I use weighted wrist straps and a 20+ lb. vest to intensify the workouts. This game, thanks to the 2020 quarantine, was the entire substance of my workout life, complemented only with Ring Fit Adventure, but I only put 20 hours of play time into that. This series is clearly working not only to motivate me but also give noticeable results. My first few hours of this sequel have me coming back every day with a little more motivation, finding it more 'fun' than the original.
