Good value for money for a 3-way socket; each is switched, which is very helpful. Thus far, no worries, but then again, I've not had any spikes. The 3 year connected equipment warranty inspires confidence, but I look forward to not claiming. FYI, some technical specs that might be of interest - Max surge 370 joules, Max current 12k amps, clamping voltage 925 volts.

Works well for me. Saves constantly having to plug \unplug devices. Can't comment on surge protection.
