really folks - why pay more for the same function and quality?this lever is a bargain at its price - just take a look at some of the other over-priced offerings and then compare this to the chintzy piece of plastic that Ruger put in its 10/22 trigger groups - even the BX...installing the lever, as most of you know, is a snap... i used a suitable punch to push out and hold in the bolt, then push in the mag release button, which allowed the original level to come out... simply slide in the lever, push in the pin all the way through - done! about 60 seconds (or less if you're not a fumble-fingers like me)very nice lever - this ranks up there with the 'why didn't Ruger do this to begin with?' question - just like the slingshot bolt release...oh, wait, activist investors and lawyers?

This magazine release does exactly what it is advertised to do. It is a quality metal item that holds up well in both looks and function.The stock mag release of the 10/22 was awkward for me to use. It was difficult for me to get to, and often my fingers would impede the free drop of the magazine. This extended release even allows me to drop and replace a magazine without losing sight picture.I was concerned that the design of the release would allow it to inadvertently get caught on other items, causing accidental mag drops. This has not proven to be a concern. It has not caught on anything normally around a shooting position or table (clothes, slings, etc).I highly recommend this as a mandatory upgrade to any 10/22 with stock release.

It takes a little time to get use to, to drop the magazine quickly. Its a little tricky to use for the 25 round magazines. But after some practice it becomes easier to use.

I thought this was a really cool add on item for my 10/22 but after installing and using a few times I am a bit underwhelmed with how it doesn't really make ejecting mags any easier. But oh well it still looks pretty cool and at least works as well as the stock release lever.

Best fit & finish out of all that I've purchased. Not cheaply made like most of the others I've tried. This release lever fits on both sides of the magazine retainer button.

Exactly what I wanted. Arrived today and had it installed in less than 3 min. VERY simple. It looks great with my flat black 10/22, and is so much better than the factory lever! No more futzing about to change magazines! Would be great if they came chromed as well! :-)

Works great, functions well. Releasing the magazine is now easier than ever. Installation was a breeze, even a novice can do it!
