How do you keep it from slipping back on a slanted bar, I tighten as tight as it c an and still slides back so he’s in my lap every time.

I would try changing the angle of the brackets down to the foot pegs or changing the location of the skewer to get a better grip.

I'm 5'2.. my daughter is 42 inches tall, would she fit comfortably?

Hi Andrew from Kids ride shotgun here, my daughter is about the same height who fits comfortably, alot will depend on the set up of your bike and your ability to see over your daughters head being 5.2. If you are concerned I would go to a local bike store to double check.

How about the frame protection? Does it work to carbon frames?

I have a carbon bike and have had no issues. Just keep the bike clean and then grit won’t rub on the frame between the clamps. No issues with tightening on frame.

Im 6'8" on an XL frame and 29" tires, would anyone know if my knees would be in the way of the childs seat?

Even at shorter heights (I’m 5’10”) you’ll have to pedal “around” your kiddo a bit. The seat isn’t too intrusive and you’ll just have your knees/legs alongside as opposed behind the Shotgun. Isn’t an issue!
