A Needed Safety device
I had a valve installed on our natural gas system to allow me to connect a tri-fuel generator. This little device along with a padlock (purchased separately) keeps the valve locked down until I need it. Absolutely required for my installation. Not only does it prevent tampering, but it ensures the valve is off.

Lock It Out While Away
The product is exactly as advertised. I use it while on vacation from my condo to lock out my water service line to prevent anyone from turning on my water while I'm away. I have peace of mind knowing that I won't come home to a flood because someone inadvertently turned on my water and left it on while I had a problem in my condo. Until that happens to you or someone you know you don't know how valuable this little baby is. Actually, I'm buying another one today as a gift for a friend who just went through this unwanted water leak business which left him a horrific mess which would have been prevented if he had one of these babys on his shut-off valve. Thanks for being here for us in so many ways AMAZON!

Security
After receiving high water bill was told by water department that I should lock up water spigot far from my home. This did the job.

Did exactly what I needed it to do!
Simple to use.... I needed a way to lock a ball valve on my outdoor spicket.

Cannot use multiple padlocks
It’s sturdy and fits a ball valve. However the pitch of the two pieces is wrong so it will only fit one padlock. True lockout-tagout isn’t possible if you desire to use padlocks. Wires would fit ok (see picture)

Not perfect but serves purpose
We needed a lock to prevent a local gardener from using our water supply to care for a neighbor's shrubs, while we were gone. This seems to be a good solution and we hope it will keep our water bill in check. It was a little tricky to install, particularly at the location we have (low to ground, close to house, and behind bushes), and the plastic construction leaves something to be desired, since it seems that it can be easily defeated by someone with a small hacksaw. Still, it is reasonably priced, and we hope it will serve our purpose. The unit does not come with the small padlock that is needed to secure the device..

Fully functional. Tough grade plastic. Can and does stand firmly up to the elements of Canada. I use it to lock down my outdoor bbq gasoline.

Great product..only the eyelits for the lock is too small so you have to choose proper lock
