Great suitcase
I bought the white medium sized suitcase in Nov 2023 and it’s held up well since then. I probably use it 2-4 times a year for personal trips. The white is nice because it’s easier to spot among a sea of black and navy suitcases- I put vinyl stickers on mine for extra ease of identification (and fun). The only downside of the white color is that it gets black scuff marks on it pretty much immediately, so if that bothers you I’d pick a darker color. It’s a decent size for about a weeks worth of travel, although I could see wanting a bigger suitcase for longer stays (or to allow more shopping at your destination). Wheels and handles all seem very sturdy, and while I haven’t dragged it around a ton I don’t baby it either. While there are suitcases out there that look more fancy I don’t really feel the need to upgrade, and probably wouldn’t unless I suddenly started traveling a lot more.

Best Luggage I've Ever Owned
My husband and I have been really impressed with this luggage. Although roughly the same height as our old cloth luggage, these suitcases are far roomier inside and much, much lighter. The castors & telescoping handles glide smoothly (and are sturdy enough to accommodate my laptop backpack), and the cases turn 360 degrees without a hitch. I especially liked the inside belt and zipper pockets, which allowed me to keep my belongings nicely organized and the integral TSA-approved luggage lock is a super smart idea. In addition, the side handles are nicely positioned for when you need to hoist your luggage by its side as when placing it upon your bed or in the luggage hold in an airporter. But the best feature by far is the exterior. These cases look sharp even after being manhandled aboard Air China four separate flights totaling over 12,000 miles. Once I got home, I gave each case a thorough inspection. At first, I thought that the cases had been scraped. My bad: what at first appeared to be scrapes was actually the paint color from OTHER PEOPLE'S LUGGAGE. I managed to remove them with a some Goo Gone and a bit of elbow grease, and used an all purpose degreasing spray cleaner to remove the Goo Gone. The remaining few nicks & scrapes are hard to detect unless one looks very closely: the striated color pattern on the Charcoal Gray color hides them quite nicely and the surface is still shiny and brand new looking. I was willing to spend a little more to get luggage that would last me without falling apart and I think I've finally found it. I will never go back to soft-sided cases again. Highly recommended.

One of the best sets of luggage available in this price category...and substantially better than most in any price range!
This is the 3rd set of these bags I've purchased. I own 2 full sets myself and just bought the purple set for my girlfriend as a Christmas gift...her luggage was falling apart on us when we were traveling so she always used one of my sets anyway. They really are incredible pieces of luggage...to date I've had them out in the rain, loaded them up with upwards of 150 lbs and then thrown a 100 lb duffel on top and still rolled them around with relative ease and with no degradation or breaks in the wheels (although with this much weight the bag will start to sag if you have the expansion zipper unzipped...which I think should probably be expected). Thus far the only two issues I've had with any of them is that: ...one telescoping handle on the carry on of one of my sets is slightly bent now after I dropped it down an escalator with the handle extended. The impact at the bottom with 65 lbs of weight behind it was enough to cause a small bend. As a result it didn't slide in and out quite as easily as before until I took two minutes to gently bend it back. Now it works perfectly but has a blemish. ...someone tried to break into one of them in Thailand and ripped a zipper tab off entirely as well as bending up a number of teeth. They didn't actually get anything out of it, but I did have to send the bag to the service center in Singapore. This might surprise you, but they don't cover lunatic thief damage in the warranty so it cost a few bucks to get a new tab. I actually opted for buying TWO new tabs so they matched perfectly...so that was a few more dollars on top of the few dollars it had cost before! Vanity. It'll get you every time. Otherwise these bags have been abused by literally dozens and dozens of angry airport baggage handlers, bored taxi drivers, underpaid hotel and bus porters, and I've never gotten them back with anything inside damaged. PS4 always works like a charm and my shampoo is always in the bottle where it belongs! They're exactly what you'd want in a functional suitcase. One thing that might be nice would be more handles...the carry on only has one handle on the top, and would greatly benefit from one on the side like it's two larger counterparts, and it would be nice if there was an indention or some other way to grip the bottom...throwing this onto the top of a truck when it's fully loaded when all you can hold onto is one handle and a wheel is not fun. ...but to be fair, most of Samsonite's target demo won't be throwing this suitcase onto the top of a truck. So there's that! :)

Great value for the $92
Update 1/5/17: Still going strong, and I still enjoy it. Have used it on one international and at least five domestic round trips since I purchased it. More scuff marks but as I wrote below I don't care. Really, it's just a suitcase. What's the big deal about having perfect luggage? It's not for display; it's not being entered into a beauty pageant; it has no need for exterior perfection. Being impact-resistant is what counts for me. Original review: Have used on trips to Europe and Florida. Is as light, and interior is as well designed, as represented. Delightful. I read negative comments before purchase about flimsy telescoping handle, breaking zipper, and spinners being too small. For London, I packed already using the expanding zipper, and returned home with a little more than I packed. On return from Florida, used expanding zipper. I love the room it adds. When zipping regular zipper, with both sides loaded, I take care to line the zippers up on top of one another and press down as hard as possible to reduce stress on zipper. (I also have pre-loaded the suitcase with not everything packed to get them smashed down before I add more.) A plus is that the zipper pulls fit into the TSA lock for security. No problems with spinners so far. I take a little extra care with the telescoping handle. It works wonderfully, and extends just to where I need it. I've put my carry-on against it and on top of of the case, but am mindful of the stress it adds. About the scuffs: Yes, as of my first trip, to Europe, there were a few scuff marks, which I expected from the reviews. The non-stop RT to Florida caused even greater scuffing. I care far more about the safety of what's inside the case. I pack my NutriBullet & accoutrements, and so far am pleased about how impact resistant the case is. Bottom line: This is not a high-end suitcase. If you want what one offers, pay for it. This gem works for me great so far. Will update later.

Light, durable and reliable! A wonderful travel companion.
I am writing this review as I just purchased my fourth suitcase of this type. It is so absolutely wonderful. I travel quite a bit. This white one has lasted three years traveling through the states and abroad. My orange ones have lasted even longer. I can't tell you how many times an airlines sees the suitcase and tells me their weight limit because they think I have gone over. It never does. Trust me when I say I over pack for trips. The suitcase is so light your weight comes from your contents. It has one fault and that is that it scuffs so very easily. It can look ugly very quickly, so always remember to have a magic eraser for those scuffs. Personally, I gave up cleaning it years ago because a beat up suitcase is a well traveled suitcase. I just bought my fourth one yesterday in a dark color. Let's see if that makes any difference. But honestly, even if it doesn't, it does not take away a star because it is so durable. The wheels and the zippers are sturdy like the suitcase. Nothing has broken in all of my travels. I am just getting a new one to have a fresh start. This white one will spend its retirement years holding storage because it is so spacious. I would never throw out this trusted travel companion. Lol It is a shame that they do not make these anymore. When I Google comparisons to other newer versions, this one always comes out on top in the durability department.

Love the color and finish
Beautiful suitcase. Finish almost looks like Liquid Metal, very cool. Took it on the first flight and it did great. It rolls beautifully and holds a lot of items without going over the 50lbs. We did get a cover for it because it’s a darker, shinier finish and could show scratches.

Incredible bag at any price point...a must have at this one!
I can't say enough good things about this line from Samsonite! Since purchasing them a year ago to replace my older luggage I've taken them all over Brazil, all over Argentina, Singapore a dozen times, Bangkok at least once a month for the last 2 years, Ho Chi Min, all over Cambodia, and of course on trips around the US. I've thrown them on and off buses, dragged them from train to train, crammed them in and out of more taxis and shuttles than I can count, and dragged them about a mile and a half down the road in the rain (they're surprisingly water resistant at the seams and expansion fabric...although certainly not water proof). Through it all the handles have held up, despite the larger two consistently weighing in at 70 lbs and the carry-on frequently tipping the scale at close to 40 lbs (don't tell the airlines...that's way too heavy for a carry-on to be) and the wheels are still in amazing shape. The bags also look fantastic given them beating they get! There are a few scratches here and there and I've frequently gotten a bag back with a corner smashed in...but it always pops right back into place with no issues, and the contents are always safe and secure. The locks are still in perfect working order...the handles still slide in and out easily and feel solid when locked into place. All of the zippers work perfectly. The single significant gripe I have about this set of bags that would make it absolutely perfect would be more handles. The carry-on only has a handle on the top of the bag...which makes it a bit awkward for carrying up and down stairs...a side handle like the other two have would be ideal. It would also be nice if there was a grip of some sort on the bottom so that you could more easily lift with two hands when moving it up onto a rack or something of that nature...while most purchasers won't use them to the degree that I do, most will at some point want to put this bag onto a stand in the hotel or lift one up onto a shelf in the terminal bus...the largest bag in particular has a deceptive amount of storage space (I've had it loaded to 104 lbs) and picking it up by the top handle and a rotating wheel is...not super fun. That one caveat though shouldn't discourage anyone from buying them...they've stood as well and better to any number of other more expensive bags I've owned, including other Samsonites...I've been very pleased with them, and expect them to last at least another few years at my current travel pace. For people like my parents who only fly a few times a year this bag could very well be the last one you ever have to buy. EDIT 02/17/2017: I've now purchased 3 full sets of this luggage, 2 in Charcoal for me and a purple set for my girlfriend. I can literally pack everything we own save our camping gear and bikes in those 9 bags...to date the only issue I've ever had was that someone tried to get into one of them and tore through the zipper with a screwdriver or knife...the end result was one zipper clasp was completely missing and a few teeth on the zipper got bent up pretty badly. I sent it off to one of their authorized dealers in Singapore though and was able to repair it with no issues while I was in Malaysia for a few months. EDIT 01/11/2018: After 2 years and just shy of 100 flights, I ripped the seam of the inside liner on one medium bag. I don't think this was the result of bad workmanship however, rather I'd only packed clothes and some camera gear into the top section and zipped it off. The other side was not entirely empty but close. I think at some point the pressure of the gear against the fabric divider, without the support of gear on the opposite side allowed enough motion to cause the seam to give out. It's being repaired now...I'll add a picture once I get it back.

Great features but horrible wheels
I’ve been a loyal samsonite owner since before my first flight. My parents bought samsonite for all our trips. And it’s usually quality luggage at reasonable prices. But I have to say this is my first disappointing purchase. Below is my review after 4 trips: Firstly, it’s not all bad. On the positive side: - It has the classic compartments I love from samsonite - including 2 well balanced sections split roughly 50/50: an open section with straps to secure clothes and a fully covered zipped section for items that may need extra security, with organising pockets on the outside of the cover for toiletries and sundries. Most other luggage brands get this wrong for my tastes. They normally have the majority of the case open with a sliver of zipped compartment you can barely put socks in. Or they go too overboard with the compartments restricting my ability to pack how I want too. - The ability to expand it is super useful and actually expands a decent amount. It’s been needed twice now when I did some unexpected shopping or needed to carry things back for others. - Unlike others I haven’t had a single problem with zippers. - Sturdy handles. This case has been tossed when over airline weight limits and dragged upstairs (I’m not very strong) with no sign of the handles failing. The telescopic handle for rolling is really sturdy unlike most other pieces of luggage I’ve used. But that could be because it only opens up to one relative short position due to the height of the suitcase. On the ‘meh’ side: - The weight. I wouldn’t say this is super light. But I’ve had heavier suitcases. It may only be a deal breaker if you tend to pack heavier items like dress shoes or full sized toiletries. Now on to my disappointment and buyers remorse: - First and foremost the wheels are horrible. On my current trip, which prompted this review, it’s been like pushing a shopping cart with a wonky wheel around. It shouldn’t be that way after just 4 trips where it’s mainly been rolled indoors, not on concrete or asphalt. I’ve found it now rolls best when I position it at a 45degree angle to my body which causes me to either constantly kick it or lean over an uncomfortable amount to avoid kicking it. And that’s on hard smooth surfaces. On carpets or anything bumpy, forget about it. It’s like pushing or dragging it through quicksand. This is I think due to the small wheels that wear easily. The heavy weight of my bag probably doesn’t help but I’ve had bags the same size that weighed more with no problems with manoeuvrability. - Less important to me, but I know it may be important to others, it scratches very easily. After my first trip with it looked like it’d been on its 100th trip with me. For me this isn’t a deal breaker so long as it holds up and keeps my belongings safe. All in all I’ll likely purchase a new suitcase while on this trip as I’m staying in several places and can’t fathom struggling with it throughout my travels like I did coming from the airport. BUT I will likely buy samsonite again. My current favourite suitcase is mid-samsonite (stryde range) and I’ve had it longer than this one and I love it. So I’m hoping this is a fluke. Also newer models have and upgraded double wheel design (including stride) which I hope will resolve the manoeuvrability issues. If not, I will start considering other brands.

Fermeture intérieeure montée à l'envers.
Jolie valise, jolie marque, je ne l'ai pas vérifiée avant de partir et une fermeture est montée à l'envers. Dommage.

Me encantó
Gracias Amazon y Samsonite.

Great product!!!!
Arrived on time and they look even better thank on the photo. They get wider when unzipped and create a lot more space to fit more things. Very resistant to scratches and gals from travelling. Price is great and quality as well.
