Meike MK-A7R IV Professional Vertical Battery Grip for Sony A7R IV A9II A7IV Cameras

i swear i would nerveer buy the Sony OEM original.. This is better, even if they break after 6months i will still buy this grip again ,great value for the money plus it honestly does feel great in my hands using a sony A9II

I bought this item and after a few months, it stopped working. It will not automatically switch from one battery to the other. You have to manually change the battery position to make it use the other good battery in the pack. I contacted the seller and they will not honor the warranty. Amazon doesn't help either. The only phone number is to some number in China that you can't call from the US. This is all a bait-and-switch fraud. AMAZON SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF ITSELF FOR BEING A WILLING PARTICIPANT IN THIS KIND OF FRAUD. Save yourself this trouble. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. SHOP ELSEWHERE.

Wasn't sure if this battery grips was gonna work with my A7RV but after months of looking at the same battery grips I finally decided to give it a shot hoping it would work. For me personally I think it fits, looks, and feels great on my A7RV and the added weight is a plus for me at least. Just be careful when setting it down while using heavier lenses cause it will be top heavy so it will tip over a bit and balance itself with the lens and battery grip body

I've bought and used the Meike grips for other cameras and always thought they were great...esp for the price. The feel of the buttons are not quite as good as on the (Sony for me) cameras but just using them a little and you get used to them. I do recommend these grips1That said, being - I think - my 4th Meike grip I have to say that the fit of this one is a little off and so a little disappointing so I knocked off a star. But, it still works well and I'll gladly keep and use it.Save some money, skip the name brand grips, and try these.

I found that this one fits my A7siii very well but not so much my A7iv. On the A7iv it doesn't form a great seal around the body. I love how easy it is to swap out batteries and now I can run my A7siii for about 3-3and a half hours.

It works. Compared to Sony. It's worth the money. 🤙🏼

Warning. If you plan to use this battery grip with smallrig camera cage or any other fitted enclosure this does not work! The bottom mounting hole is not in the same position compared to Sony VG-C4EM Battery Grip so tripod mounting or fitting with certain accessories will NOT fit.The material is OK and what you can expect at this price point.

UPDATE 11/3/2021: I discovered that if you disable "normal focus" mode in the custom function menu, the issue completely resolves itself. Still deducting 1 star for the overall mediocre build quality and lack of weather sealing around the battery; but overall this isn't a bad value compared to the $400 Sony grip.The grip feels vaguely passable in terms of quality; and it does provide the battery boost it promises. My issue, is after the first photoshoot the joystick started spazzing out, with it getting worse over time. At this point, one month after buying this grip, my focus point teleports to the center of the frame constantly, and if I move the joystick either nothing happens or the camera acts as if I’m assaulting the joystick in every direction.I expected better for a glorified battery adapter. It’s pretty embarrassing to be with clients and telling them to wait a minute because your camera isn’t responding.
